Just dominated my (hopefully) last epic KotR and got Undertaker. Not bad. He's a huge improvement over Kane, so when I get my first pro legendary that isn't a diva, the decision will be a really easy one.

Edit: Just started my first legendary. I used my level 3 pro taker and 2 URs on my bench (with the rest common) to sneak in. The bar shows totally full, though, since legendary is max... I wonder if legendary still scales or if it's all lumped together.

Screwed in this KotR. 2 opponents that both have 2 Pro Legs. I only have one.

I'm not sure why I am suddenly encountering opponents like this so often. Weird.

Well I finally retired pro rare eve marie... only took meto llegendary tier when I pulled an epic nattie at random. It's the best random pull I've gotten since sr.

Filled my bench with unleveled rares in this kotr which had me just above epic. So far 9-0. Tried with commons but it dropped me into ur

Just won the most impossible Semi-Finals I ever been in. Guy against me had 2 Leg Pro's, each one having 200+ more stats than my Chris Jericho.

I was only able to beat those in only 2 areas and in both match-ups I was fortunate enough to have that happen.

I was considering just dropping the match, but glad I tried.

Yeah man, you never know. I've won every KOTR I've participated in. And in 3 of those I was certain I was doomed, but I tried anyway and ended up winning the whole thing.

I think I'm finally gonna try a Legendary KOTR, as I've done epic like 4 times now. Hope this tag strategy still works, because I do not want to grind for energy. The last 3 tournaments I did I only used 30 energy and 24 of those were during the actual bracket. Went through qualifiers using only 6 energy cards.

Just hit the Epic tier in Exhibition mode. From Ultra Rare to Epic I played roughly ~900 games. About 100 games after I first hit UR I got an UR stop sign powerup. I then played 800 consecutive games without getting a single UR card. Normal or just spectacularly bad luck?

If it wasn't for KOTR I would've given up by now. Luckily the first UR KOTR I won netted me a pair of Cenas.

Yeah, grinding Exhibition is dull. Reward for that KotR was Eddie Guerrero, I'm pretty happy with it even those the Left alligned cards keep haunting me even in Legendary.

He's top 3, so I can't complain. I saw a guy on the official forums that pulled Shawn Michaels back to back. Lucky guy, best card in game. I'm sure you can't lose anymore when you have 2 of those beasts to help you through.

Anyway, time for the next KotR. Hopefully it will be easier. I was on the edge of quitting but since I can now farm picks on my PC and got a nice card after the shitty Batista and Big Show, I'll stick around a till the update comes out to see if its any fun.

It's just really low droprate. Hardly worth to play Exhibition just to find anything. The rates are so poor that Exhibition only use is to get you through KotR. It's no legitimate alternative to getting cards especially at higher rank, because the odds of getting another one of those to make a pro, are even worse.

But yeah seems a little low. 900 games, you should atleast have found something.

I think I played a good 1000 games from when I started UR and reached Epic and received a total of 2 UR cards through Exhibition pulls (not counting your guaranteed first one). Once you hit UR and higher, you really need to go through KOTR to consistently get cards.

So I've won 3 KOTR so far in Legendary tier. Prizes were Kane, Cameron and Brock. 2 of the worst stat total superstars and the best Diva. My highs are high, and the lows are low. Just drafted my first non-freebie Legendary though, The Rock.

Yeah I've gotten nothing but shit in the Epic KOTR, which is why I did it so many times. But I'm tired of doing it and I'm hoping I can get by in Legendary with Batista, Kane, Eric Rowan, Daniel Bryan, and AJ. That Batista really pissed me off. I've used that fucker in EVERY single tier. And he sucks so so so so so so bad. I just know my first win in Legendary KOTR is gonna be Batista.

I just win my first Legendary KotR. I hope I don't get something awful. Anything at all will be an upgrade, though. I'll find out in about 30 minutes.

About to start the playoffs in my first legendary koth. Figure I have a 50-50 shot of getting top 2 since I tanked my last 10 games to dodge a guy that has a team full of pro legendaries despite me barely having enough ratings to make the legendary koth tier.

I just received an update for the game. Through the Amazon app store on my LG G3. My iPad doesn't have any updates for it available, though, so perhaps this is just a bug fix of some sort for the Amazon version.

Edit: ok, at first glance, the only difference I spot is something called "ladder rewards" on the exhibition screen where you choose your opponent. Hmm

The ladder rewards page is glitched, I believe. It appears you get some sort of reward for playing a certain number of exhibition games. The number is just all nines, though. 999999999 or so

Sounds like the update they promised, but possibly pushed it out to Amazon too quick.

Well that does sound good. I'd like Exhibition to be more rewarding. That said my days of grinding it are over.

Yeah, if I get more picks for being on a hot streak or whatever, it might be worth coming back to the game... I can't imagine grinding up legendary pros right now, just feels like work.

I can't seem to get to the next level. What's that hinge on? Upgrades?

I got Jericho as my first legendary pro, which means 3/4 of my male wrestlers are WCW midcarders from the 90s. As a big WCW fan, it's a beautiful thing.

what the hell is doing in the epic KOTR a guy who has AT LEAST 3 pro LEGENDARY cards?
i can understand how he ended up in the epic tier, but i don't understand why he would even want epic cards when he can compete in the legendary tier and has enough already to make almost an entire team

Yeah that sucks. I just got lumped in with a guy who has two pro legendaries when I just BARELY made it into legendary KotR with a mostly common bench despite having a pro legendary myself. My only hope is that his diva kind of sucks or something. Otherwise, it looks like matchmaking is a little broken.

He might just be trying to fill out his catalog.

I have such a love/hate relationship with the common bench strategy. I love it because I'm currently in the finals of my 2nd Epic KOTR and will now be guaranteed my first Epic pair thanks to this strategy.

But I also hate it because I got SUPER LUCKY in that the two best guys were at the top of the bracket, and because of that, I was able to sneak into the finals. Both guys were simply unbeatable for me (one guy has 2 Epic Pros and the other has an Epic Pro and a Legendary), so if it wasn't for my luck, I'd be pretty pissed right now.

So while I'm happy it's getting me a pair, I also recognize how much it sucks for everyone else.

Not too proud of the common bench either but I don't see the problem. I think people that dump their bench full of cards to skip a Tier is the main issue here.

For example I never went to UR until I had a full set of Pro SRs. Never Epic until I had my Pro URs.

I could stop doing it but I'd be carrying the weight of cards I don't intend on using, aswell as invite people to do it to me instead.

Fix has to come from the developers, I won't spend 2 days to find out I don't stand a chance.

Used only 10 Energy this cards. Could have even been less.

Edit:

http://forums.2k.com/showthread.php?716166-Update-coming-today-or-tomorrow-Details-inside!

Details on the update. Apparently a Diva Paige card is added. 2 New gamemodes aswell.

Finished another Legendary KotR... another Brock Lesnar pair. Ugh. Might not even bother to level this one, considering the grind it requires. I wonder if using the common bench strategy and being in a lower tier of Legendary affects the odds of getting better stat Legendary cards. So far I've gotten Kane, Brock x2 and Cameron (the only good one).

That should not be the case. I've received some top-tier cards in every division and I play with the common bench all the time.

That said, I don't believe it is entirely random. I definitely think some cards are more likely to appear than others.

About the update. That Paige card exclusive to a gamemode has to be pretty awesome. I am pretty excited for the new patch but I think it will be difficult to win, some people have sick decks and there is just no way to beat them. It's not like this game can be competitive, if your opponent has the better deck, don't even bother.

Yeah, I'm a little worried about the competition, too. Like I mentioned earlier, there's no way I could compete with the guy in my KOTR tournament, so I simply let him win. Weirdly enough, he still burned all his boosts despite me not putting up a fight. Not sure why he wanted that UR support card so much! :D

About 800 games without getting a UR card I hit the Epic tier and get an epic ADR after 20 games. I guess I'm about to go another 800 games without getting another Epic card then.

The first board after you move up a tier is always a guaranteed drop of that tier. Once you hit UR or above, getting any meaningful drops from Exhibition is extremely rare. It's best to focus on KotR from here on out.

Blargh, the new update did take away the ability to stock up picks. When using the android back button, it now brings up a pause screen

Can't you minimize, quit the app, and restart? It'll take a while longer, but that should work. The app still needs to hold on to your picks in case of network disconnect.

So the last UR KOTR I ended up with a pair of Roman Reigns, who looks like one of the worst cards in the tier. :/

Hmmm...so I won my first UR KOTR and got a pair of Cenas, and I decided to not bother trying to win the finals for the last two and ended up with Flair and Reigns...does this mean you have a better chance of getting a good card if you win the final after all? I'd think there would be more incentive to try and win other than the extra support card.

I don't know about all that. I got Hogan and HBK URs finishing second, but finishing first has netted me Kane, Booker T, and Jericho... all low to mid-level. I think it really is random.

The fact you got HBK from losing proves this is random. He's consistently one of the best cards in all his tiers. Same goes for Kane. Just in the other direction. :D

Good to know. I realize I have a small sample size, just needed to get more info.

Right that's what I meant. HBK is THE best card for every tier that contains him when it comes to combined stats.

Edit: Well this sucks. I'm tied for first with 2 other people, but the only time I face both of them again is while I'll be sleeping tonight. There's a good chance I'll finish third going into the bracket rounds, which means my road will be pretty difficult. Oh well, I might pull out a miracle and finish second here. As long as I finish third or better, though, I'll at least be able to get a better support card.

So after another 2 Legendaries KotR that I lost, the way that makes it the easiest experience is to win a pair, level & Pro them, and just enter and boost the sucker up to 40~.

Apparently Cat Daddy even wants people to use these tactics, but if anything sets me apart from the rest of the competition, it must be this. And the worst part is that you can keep doing it as long as you keep winning.

Anyway, I wonder when the patch will go live. Stacking up some picks while I still can.

Ironically, I won my first Legendary KotR easily so I didn't get a chance to do this (though I did level an epic pro from level 1). However, I leveled my Pro Legendary from level 1 in this KotR and am really struggling just to maintain a three-way tie for first and am doubtful that I'll even finish second. It's kind of the luck of the draw, honestly. If you end up facing people with more pro legendaries than you, there's not a lot you can do but hope that they're not properly maxed.

Funny, I did this strategy in the new Epic KOTR I started this morning. I put my level 0 Epic Pro Ric Flair in at the beginning and now I'm leveling him up as quickly as possible. Can't say I'm proud of the tactic, but, honestly, it's really the only way for me to compete. :(
