WWE Superstar Roman Reigns Suspended

Roman has been treated like crap by crowds for two years now. I know a lot of people will fail to realize the big deal but to work as much as a professional wrestler has to and get shit on by thousands of people when you're playing a 'good guy.' That's gotta be tough.

Exactly. And "fans" are STILL not satisfied. It's a scary thought.

Cena has been crapped on for a decade now.

If WWE expects Reigns to be Cena, then they have to expect Reigns to be able to handle the crap Cena went through.

It's tough and I feel for the dude but Roman Reigns hate has become memetic. Even if it isn't appropriate people won't put you down for unnecessarily shitting on him. Vince should have given in months ago and turn Roman heel but on plods the 'The Guy' plan and Roman Reigns the man himself has to suffer for it.

Wait, reading this thread people seriously think WWE didn't know way out this before money in the bank? A hahahaha of course they knew. Even Alvarez confirmed they knew but it was obvious anyway.

Cena was super over for over for a better part of a decade, though. He's been around and he probably understands the annoyance built up towards him. Reigns was NEVER over with the crowd.

You really can't compare Cena and Reigns, honestly.

Well of course not. Reigns is never going to be Cena.

But that doesn't stop WWE from trying to make him that. And if Reigns is breaking down from the all the pressure, then that's WWE and Reigns' fault, not the fans.

As Reigns said in an interview last year, he doesn't care if fans boo him or cheer him. He's just hoping to get rich.

Absolute idiot, having a golden opportunity and managing to stuff it up big time. Hope the crowds give it to him upon his return.

The crowds already have been giving it to him, it's entirely possible that is what drove him to do whatever it is that he did. I'd hope people could respect that these are human beings with lives as well, you know. Booing a guy out of the building that did some shit to get suspended because he was being booed out of the building isn't really going to help anyone.

Instead people want likes on FB and Twitter by posting photoshops poking fun at someone's very real life and very real problem. That's the internet, though. :(

Why are people saying this is the fans fault for booing him?

L-O-FUCKING-L

Did I miss when the right to boo or cheer was taken away from the paying fans? Look, this guy was being groomed to be the next Cena, he was being superman booked and people got tired of that shit. It's been that way since the Shield broke up because people knew Vince was going to do this, don't blame the fans for rejecting someone. That's absolutely insane, if he couldn't handle the booing from the crowd that's on him and the company for ignoring the fans for so long and not changing their direction with him.

He messed up, that's on him.

EDIT - and again, are their sources or reports that this was a direct result of him not being able to handle being boo'd constantly? Or is that just Reigns fan butthurt disguised as speculation for sympathy's sake?

It isn't about simple cheers and boos, its about the constant torrent of abuse he has to deal with. It extends FAR beyond the ring. He's a human being and should be treated as one.

Combo of Roman fan butt hurt plus a bit of troll baiting, I think.

why are people still talking out of their asses like they know for a fact Roman turned to drugs cause twitter was bullying him? No one knows shit or even what drug he took.

If it comes out that he was roiding up to get ahead of his peers, the hate is going to intensify 10x, I hope Roman's ready for that.

I guess this how he no longer becomes the company's top dog.

He buried himself.
That's a good way to get out of the pressure of being "the guy".

WWE runs their top talent ragged. CM Punk wanted an escape from the grind and couldn't get one until he got fed up and quit one day.

Being straight edge prevented him from being able to take the blue pill to escape from being in the spotlight without so much as a break for his mental and physical well-being.

I don't buy that Reigns was an addict. I do buy that he's just as fed up with being the de facto Cena replacement as much as we are.

The fans haven't done Roman wrong. The WWE has done Roman wrong.

It's just the usual gimmick posters (trolls). If it's a post from Vince McMahon, Dream or JesseEwiak, just move along.

Has Dave put up a detailed report on this yet and if so can someone paste it? (just the suspension content so maybe mods won't care since it's not the whole thing??)

Nope. He does those via podcast stuff.

The fans haven't done Roman wrong. The WWE has done Roman wrong.

Probably. I mean, Roman has gone on record that he prefers a style where there are multiple people at the top, and this allows everyone to carry the torch.

But in the world of WWE, the top only has room for one person, and the company uses the entire roster to experiment upon their desired lackey to be the only one there.

They may allow two, but that is only because of the brand split.

The WWE pushes the brand itself above any talent. Correspondingly, they should ditch the whole model of one superstar getting worked to the bone. It'd be best for the talent and the fans.

Any unique info from the podcast or did he basically just restate the news?

He mentioned that the test result was known before the PPV, but that its still mystifying that they mentioned the 3-way on Raw, since they knew it couldn't happen. That's about it.

So they wrote themselves in a corner but Summerslam's ME is pretty much decided.

Listened to the Podcast. The writers didn't know about it as of last night, but that management knew and that was why he lost the title. He also said that Roman's tweet was "interesting".

I feel bad for Roman Reigns and the way how he is treated by people sometimes.

Writing fucked him over big time. He never should have been doing long promos about magic beans and tater tots. He could probably use a better set of moves too but the promos were just trash, all the way up to this I'M THE GUY stuff.

Interesting in that people who get suspended usually don't tweet?
