Holy shit that host was so creepy there.... And Rachel killed it, I wish there was a way for Nicole to be taken off the panel mid season she keeps getting worse and worse and try's to play gotchya with Simon any chance she gets and keeps looking like a fucking idiot. "You're bananas!!" really? You're getting paid good money to judge artist and tell them theyre bananas.
 
Man I have a feeling the bottom two will be Stereo Hogs and Stacey I bet. We will see anyways....WILLOW SMITH WILL PEFORM?!

Rachel has a big voice, but I think she still sounds pretty vocally immature. There wasn't much subtlety in her phrasing (which is what makes Drew sound so much older than she actually is), and her faces continue to frighten me.

Predictions = Stereo Hoggz in the bottom 2, along with Stacey or Chris.

She never says anything, it's like she's just a output for a generate-a-cliche machine...it's as if she's inhabited by mid-2000s "TOUCHDOWN" era Paula Abdul.

What's worse, is how she telegraphs it..."deep-in-thought face(or cramps)...tented fingers..slow deliberate speech pattern"... As if that makes anything she's saying profound.

I used to find the Nicole bashing gratuitous...but the girl can grate

She went flat at about 15 seconds into the performance but the rest of it was just incredible. Screw being diverse...do what you do well and just own it every week.

I was watching with my roommates and when she said that 4 of us simultaneously burst out laughing. We couldn't believe it, she keeps outdoing herself each week the show progresses.
 
Stacey has to go. She doesn't have the total package and she looks so uncomfortable on stage.

I also don't see Leroy winning. Too old, and what young person is going to buy his album or see him?

This week was so much better than last week. My notes are below..



Stacey - Big Forehead Francis sounded terrible.
Marcus - Was meh.. sounds whiney. Nicole said magic was 2 words.. so much fail.
Drew - Hard song.. she did okay with it. Paula is a bitch for dissing her dress.. that was an amazing moment haha
Leroy Bell - Wow great job. That was an awesome performance. It is what he is suited for. (Nicole crying again jesus)
Lakoda Rayne - They just sound really good together. Good harmony. Their performances though need life.. Quit walking around and hugging each other every 5 steps.. jesus.
Astro - Um.. I'm starting to like him. Really good lyrics he made.
Melanie - Omg her voice is so CLEAN and PERFECT. Great performance.
Stereo Hogz - Meh.. The guy is pitchy as their lead singer.. The other guys sound ok but they sang like a few times and that was it. Tall Stereo Hogz dude needs to stfu and stop being so cocky after the performances.
Josh - LOL @ Nicole not paying attention on Live TV to introduce Josh. Josh nailed the song. Amazing performance
Chris Rene - Um... I don't know? It felt awkward the whole time. Guess it was ok. I hate his mannerisms... The whole saluting and swaying is annoying me.
Rachel Crowe - Nailed it. Best performance of the night. She is incredible and redeemed herself.

Drew's kinda boring. The only performances I was feeling was Melanie, Rachel and uh....Astro lol (he actually didn't butcher the Eminem song, and good on him for mentioning Heavy D and Joe Frazier, though I doubt he knows who Heavy D is)
 
OK, I checked out The Astronomical Kid's youtube videos. He's real. Probably best kid rapper I've seen in a while, kinda on same level as Diggy Simmons. He's making it either way, he won't win the show as it's mainly housewives and young girls who vote, but he'll blow up.

Agreed, just hand him the $5 million already, the only other people who are even competing are Drew and Melanie, and Melanie doesn't seem very commercial imo, while drew will get a deal either way, so save us all 2 months of our lives and give it to the man with the actually unique, and talented voice.

Worst performer of the night is still the host. That guy is just a no-personality creeper.
 
Astro is a monster. I think he's going to struggle to find a real audience...but he's got talent.

I just started watching the episode. Holy shit, Stacey, holy shit. That was painfully bad. The song choice, the outfit, the choreography, the vocals, and the forehead. No, no, NO!

Oh yeah...I almost forgot about that. The forehead thing was just absolutely bonkers. Whoever greenlit that decision is a total idiot.

It was an unfortunate choice of styling. Nobody factored in the lighting; it literally made her look bald.

I mean it was so big, it cast shadows. Dayum.
 
Nicole cracks me up even if she's super dumb. When she talks to someone, she always talks in a weird accent depending on who they are. For example: when she talks to Lakoda Rayne, she says "y'all" all the time and has a weird country accent. When she talks to Astroboy, she starts talking street. When she talks to regular adult people who are powerful singers, she has this weird faux-dignified voice where she talks like William Shatner.
 
The only reason I'm glad Nicole is on X-Factor is so she can stay the hell away from The Sing-Off. Sara Bareilles is a MUCH better judge than her, that show in general is a ton better too.

My wife and I agree on this as well. We want to hate him because he's a cocky know-it-all teenager. But there's no denying he is ridiculously talented. I caught the slam on all the sob stories, and he's absolutely right.

I really think that Astro is the only really relevant act in the competition. Everyone else may be able to find a foothold in the market somewhere, but Astro has "star" potential.

I'd say Lakoda Rayne is the best bet for a high selling artist. I'd go as far as to say the only bet.
 
1. I highly doubt he wrote them himself.

2. I don't see him being legitimate except maybe on a Disney channel at this point. "Cute" and "rap" don't really go together.

Drew has by far the most contemporary sound. Melanie has the best technical voice that probably won't sell anything. Lakoda Rayne has the potential to fill a void in the current market. I could see Josh carving out a nice career for himself.
 
I watched the performances last night~

I've probably said this before, but although I'm not really a fan of rap as a genre in general, I think Astro's writing is pretty damn impressive especially for his age.

For the other contestants, I did not like a lot of their performances. I didn't like Drew very much (I'm not asking for Kelly Clarkson genre chameleon abilities, but something *slightly* different about each song would be nice), Stereo Hogzz, Chris, Marcus, etc.

Astro aside, I liked Rachel and Melanie some. I've already forgotten Josh's performance, sorry to say.
