Not really... there's a shiny metal case and the "radio plate" that communicates with the joypads.

They said they're making them in the video. There will be LOTS of choice, and I can imagine them coming out with ltd. ones with premium versions of games too.

Having seen these on the MTV thing last night, I'm not real cool with them. They all seem very out of place on the front of the all white Xbox. Ruins what asthetic appeal the Xbox 360 had going for it in the first place.

Unless one is absurdly cool looking and has a gradient to work around what Drek mentioned, I cannot see myself buying one. Still, it is nice idea should drop a little extra money in the pockets of publishers with rabid fans. A white faceplate with Sonic, Master Chief, a DOA character, etc. on it would sell.

if they're not too complicated to make, the indie faceplates (where people just print out "Wish I was a PS3" or "lol dongs lol" or whatever) will be great.

At probably $0.50 a piece to stamp out and print, these will retail for $10 at least, so I can see why MS wants to pimp them.
