1) Is there a way to copy my xbox saves over to my 360 for the BC?

2) Why can't I play any videos from CDs? Do I need a media center for that? Is that the only way? Does the 360 support xvid/divx?

3) I want to hook up my 360 to my network wirelessly. A wifi card shouldn't cost $129CND, that's absurd. Is there another to connect my 360 to my network wirelessly for a fraction of the cost?

4) Is there another way to get xbox live arcade games onto my 360 without having to go through the marketplace? I heard that a DVD containing the best XBLA games would be released, is that true?

5) I'm suck on an SDTV until I reconfigure my living room which may take a few months. Is there a cheap S-Video cable I can use in the meanwhile cause the composite cables really suck.

6) Is optical the only digital audio ouput? Is there a way to use digital coax?

7) The 360 has crashed 5 times during Dead Rising. Is there an issue with DR or might it be the 360? I haven't really played any of the other games much to test that out.

1) No.

2) I think you do need media center. Nope, no DivX/XviD (which sucks when I wanna watch HD vids from Blim's site).

3) Yes. A wireless bridge. Others should know a good, cheap, commonly used model (I think it's around 20USD).

4) Yes. Live Arcade Unplugged, I believe it's called, should be coming out soon. Previews should be around that show what's included.

5) Not sure.

6) Nope, not that I know of.

no it doesn't support xvid but there is hope. By using media center and Transcoder 360 you can stream xvid movies from your computer to the xbox in realtime. I do it to watch anime and it works really well

1. no
2. no, need MCE PC
3. move router to 360? or get a wireless bridge or another router and use ad-hoc mode.
4. Yes there's an XBLA Unplugged disc comming out with most of the earlier releases
5. mad catz?
6. yes I believe optical is the only way.

2 year warranty from MS = $49.99

You WILL thank me.

Since I'm also a new owner...I have some q's as well.

1. I can't copy MP3 files (from an external hard drive, PSP, etc) to the 360? Like the Xbox, do I need to rip them from my CD collection?

2. It says Xbox Live can tell what CD you just ripped and adds all the album name, artist name, track names automatically. It didn't happen. I don't see any options menu to make it look for the names online.

3. If I use my own pic as background, I can't make 4 different ones for each blade?

4. Sometimes when I select an item to DL, it isn't in the queue list. I have to go back select it again, then it appears fine. What's up with this?

Thx in advance!

For Troidal:

1) I believe so.

2) No idea.

3) Nope. I'm pretty sure it's 1 image that's for all the blades.

4) No clue. Never happened to me, and I've DLed/queued a lot.

I thought the premium pack came with component cables?

SOMEONE GOT A TARD PACK!

Or he has an SDTV with S-Video and no component port? :)

I want to know if it can really do this?? It would save me SO much time.

Also, I went through this with Google in the OT, but I can't get my 360 to let me play music off my Ipod. WTF? He said there's some update you download, but I hooked my 360 to net and everything is up to date and I can't find anything regarding it in downloads.

HELP GUYZ!

Yeah, item #7 doesn't sound good to me. My launch 360 has never crashed during Dead Rising. It does crash online periodically, though, which I'm chalking up to bad netcode (for now). My Gamestop warranty runs out in November. If my 360 crashes when Gears comes out, don't be surprised if you see me on the FBI's Most Wanted List.

ALot of people are answering "no" to this question, but the correct answer is "yes." You can't transfer your xbox saves to your 360 straight out of the box but there is a workaround out there. What you need to transfer your xbox game saves to your 360 is a xbox action replay and a datel 360 transfer kit. Here is the link that will explain how to do it:

Hope that helps.

Wasn't it something like 5 to 10 percent of systems crash? And the people complaining are just the vocal minority?

Because I've had my 360 since Day 1 (midnight!) and I've played 160 hours of Oblivion, spent hours in Dead Rising, played GRAW, and am currently playing Saint's Row; all of these games being the "main cause of crashes" with the system.
