Seems to be a typo in title btw, should be consumer rape, because that's what they're doing to us.
I love angry joe, but I seriously doubt he can have any influence (positive or negative) on Xbox' image. I mean come on, it's just some youtube guy.
Technically, none of this build up means anything if the system comes out, has great games, and isn't nearly as bad as people thought it would be. Usually the idea of something is far worse than the reality. I've learned this over and over.
Jesus dude, where do you think you are? Pick up that pitchfork and torch on the double, before somebody notices!!
All kidding aside, I'm with you. In the end it's all about the games.
Sony thought so too when they tried the whole "people will work 2 jobs to afford PS3" nonsense. Complacency does not get rewarded in this industry.
You are right and this is why i mentioned i want to see what they come out saying at E3, They surely are going to do something different than what originally planned.
This has given them some bad press and they do not like it one bit.

Except its not. There is no single game worth giving up your rights as a consumer. This is terrible logic.
MS needs to start spinning fast.
They tried, it didn't work.
The problem was that not a single MS person could actually explain how anything worked. You can't spin if everyone in the room isn't even on the same page of talking points!

It seemed to me like the media has been sticking up for MS, so... this probably won't make those media outlets feel very good, huh.
Media blames consumer for the current situation.
Microsoft blames media for the current situation.
Fuck this industry.
lolMedia: "Hey sheeps, why don't you let Microsoft fuck you over?"
Microsoft: "Hey media, don't tell them that we want to fuck them over!"
What rubbish. The media have mostly been spinning the propaganda in MS's favour.
For me, I seriously don't give a shit about the things most of you are raging about. I'm buying an XB1 day one for the media capabilities and exclusives. I just kinda want the epicaricratic delight of seeing your reaction to what I see as a non-issue.Or maybe everyone hoping that Sony does the same thing should tell us why they feel that way. I've read so many post with people saying that Sony will do the same, it makes my head spin, wondering why anyone would want that. With things going this badly for Microsoft, Sony doesn't have to say a word until E3. But of course Sony announcing something similar would somehow make the XB1(sorry I refuse to use that other name, it's bad enough that I can only read it as X-bone.) look better, right? It won't, it will just make them both look dumb.

Oh, and OP is 100% inaccurate. Nothing in that article refers to anyone ascribing blame to anyone, however much you may want the lol MS narrative to continue.
Its depressing that people are willing to bend over and take what they are given for more Halo, or any game for that matter. To each their own though.

Probably wont do much but i have started contacting consumer rights groups about all this mess, if nothing else I can see the camera being an issue for many people so if any of these groups are willing to look into this, and help fight it then its worth the time in my opinion.
The whole class action lawsuit ban was a sham, and this situation is ripe for it when it goes down honestly. I can see allot of people buying this, not really knowing what they are buying, and getting quite a few wake up calls about what they have. If these issues can spill out into the mainstream media the better chance of MS flinching I think.
See this is the retarded talk. You waive these rights when purchasing the system and agreeing to the terms of service! Is this with an issue of the camera being on, or the mic being on when the system is in a non powered state?
This is like you want to sue Sony for making a camera that listen and watch you when it's pointed at you. this isn't anything about privacy really. As you have yet to know it's limitations because it's 5 months away from release!
No?you think anyone cares what you buy? wow.

You unlock this door with the key of obtuseness. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of corporate apologists, a dimension of willful ignorance, a dimension of fanboys. You're moving into a land of both posting and failing, of rationalizing and denying. You've just crossed over into... the Xbone Zone.
yeah you're original. seriously. you would have to be a moron if you are talking any sort of legal ramifications based on not knowing or having the hardware you have an issue with. Yes it is rationalizing, as there's a ton of people flipping out over certain features without knowing if you can eventually turn them off!
Xbone has been designed in a vacuum by a committee of idiots that think they know what the target demographic wants.
That's not a recipe for disaster at all, oh no.
Are they really that surprised at such a negative reception to all the anti-consumer shit they are trying to pull off in a single generation?
I'd be more sympathetic if people applied their outrage here to all uses of the business model and not just selectively to one form of CE device because... What?I don't want a "Lol Microsoft" narrative to continue. In fact, I'd be thrilled to see it stop.
But the trend that I do want to see end is the "LOL customers, who needs 'em?" narrative from game publishers, which is a narrative being enabled by these Xbox One policies.
