Man, honestly, the more I read of Xbox fans in this thread spouting the stuff they do, attacking people who are trying to keep expectations realistic for them, even trying to steer the conversation into solid directions, the more I realize that the diehard Xbox fanbase here on GAF is easily some of the most delusional, hateful, willfully ignorant fandom i've ever seen.
What is this horseshit about?

Any excitement for anything Xbox related now is delusional, hateful and willfully ignorant?

If you don't like a thread where people are excited for the topic, then why the hell are you in the thread?
Especially E3 ones..

Guys lets not attack Matt

I enjoy his posts & analysis. I don't think he shits up Xbox threads. He provides good insight actually.

You don't think that was a big splash last E3. The look of it and including 4K player. I think it got huge buzz last year. It was a rebirth of the Xbox and going forward.

up until now. <- aka the other part that triggered me.

This is just me being a grammar bitch. I'll agree up to the first 3 months of product launch, but data after that showed a stabilized product in-line with other product refreshes of prior gens.

Spencer said this conference is their most interesting show in a long time, get hype!
True Spencer vision, this is it, 3 years in the making, the one conference that change the course of video game history.

Yeah..... i Know I know :(

I have nothing against the dude but in the past he did claim some stuff that turned out to be completely nonsense. To me that seemed more anti Xbox than not. Can't really take him too serious anymore either.

Agree...we've had plenty of other stuff dominating the news from October 2016 forward (The PS4 Pro relase, BF and X-mas sales, the japanase games from Q1 2017, the Nintendo Switch...)

Maybe you should steer away from Xbox thread then.
Shit man we don't need this kind of generalization about any fanbase. There are bad apples in every basket. Doesn't mean you get to paint a broad stroke over the whole fanbase. Gtfo with this bullshit accusation.

Damn, fans and haters alike are desperate for some Scorpio/Xbox info. E3 is going to grind GAF to its knees!

I get the feeling every Xbox thread during E3 will turn into a massive brawl within seconds. Mods are going to have their work cut out.

Personally I hope MS impresses. Scorpio sounds great on paper, I just want to see them make good on their promises. Not expecting anything amazing, since their lineup is pretty solid by I am open to being surprised!

Speaking about hateful...painting a broad stroke there

Edit: didn't mean to dogpile looks like it's been addressed in other ways.

Oh god your trying to keep expectations realistic for them? Oh god bless you, thank you for gracing us from way up there on your high fucking horse.

This is some real next gen console warrior bullshit! It's time to stop posting, because I'm embarrassed for you.

in an attempt to stop the bitching here in this topic i try to talk about Microsofts E3 Conference now

please make some time for exciting services and feature announcements
because i don't care that much for games

2015 was BC
2016 was Play anywhere and all that stuff
i need the holy trifecta

they already launched Gamepass so i hope that have other even better stuff for the future

If their conference is the exact opposite of this, then I'll be happy. New features and services are nice but useless without games to play with them. E3 for me has always been about all the new games to look forward to, and since Microsoft has been kind of quiet on that front since the last E3, a conference more focused on hardware and services would only be dissapointing imo. And while I can't say for sure, I would guess most people would be more excited about new games then other stuff.

Wouldn't it be interesting if Microsoft open with a Wonder Woman Xbox play anywhere Exclusive trailer on E3? Even if it's just an exclusive marketing deal, I bet it will have a huge impact.

Digital only hasn't proven to be viable on consoles yet unless you are cheap and mainstream. Nier and Yakazu would bomb massively as digital only Xbox One titles, which is sad. If digital is only above >30% of total sales for most titles (being higher with multiplayer games), low selling niche games that would sell maybe 50K LTD on Xbox One retail are going to be much lower on digital, and take away those potential retail sales and now your game is rounding down to 0.

Agreed.
Primethius has been valiantly trying to get across this point for a few pages now. Having a torrid time convincing some people though. People who don't visit sales threads unsurprisingly seem a bit lost when it comes to sales discussion.

Sneakers.

Why some here still put so much stock in what he says is beyond me after that kind of stuff.

Was put on my block list long time ago. I read what someone quoted about what he said a few pages back and that was absolutely ridiculous.

Anyway, in regards to Matt....seems cool to me, seems to be genuinely excited for Scorpio. Don't think he needs to get dog-piled on.

Regardless of content, MS has done an excellent job building hype for this moment for nearly a year now. Add in the fact that their conference is on Sunday and EVERYBODY is going to be watching this.

They have their shot to sell their product, let's hope they take advantage of it.

Oh for sure but I don't care. Really looking forward to hopefully a nice lengthy gameplay demo showing all the stuff we loved from the first one and now with destruction and nice graphics. Plenty potential here.

And yeah as for those wannabe insiders, I never get why they even do that. They don't even really benefit from it at all. It's actually a bit sad.

Yup, I just hope that its priced between 399-449. Anything Higher will probably kill a lot of their momentum besides the hardcore.

This is really all I want to see. Been anxiously awaiting since the xbox one was announced and their was a little tease Crackdown in one of their graphics.

Yes me too, it's my most hype game all generation. If they pull the physics stuff off it's also about the only game I've seen so far which is trying to do something 'next gen'. I haven't really been impressed with anything this generation in terms of pushing new boundaries like we have seen in previous times. Just the same games all round with modestly improved graphics. Yawn.

Are we the same person? I'm in the same boat. I feel like this entire gen has just been prettier versions of the same stuff.

Yep, Crackdown 3 feels like it could deliver the first truly revolutionary multiplayer experience this generation. My guess is they show the machine first with the 4K updates and then straight to Crackdown.

It's kinda crazy how Red Faction Guerilla did destruction so damn well and this was a long time ago and hopefully Crackdown is finally going to show how it's done in 2017 when it comes to that. The destruction footage looked awesome.

And yeah, agreed about physics. Lots of potential for that in this one and we have seen this too few in games this generation. Definitely agreed. Hopefully their E3 demo really impresses us all, they have been working on this for a long ass time without showing it for two years now I think.

Yeah that's definitely true man. Well good thing we're going to find out what this is soon enough now. Definitely keeping any hype in check though.

Especially after what Matt said in the other thread. He's someone in the know about things isn't he? When he says he's not seeing much change at all when it comes to improving first party input, that doesn't sound good. Of course it takes time but it's not like they haven't had a lot of time. Then again in Phil Spencer's first years a lot of good has happened to Xbox as a system and service, less good things for actual new games and they definitely are starting over with that again, if we are to believe them that is. Time will tell.

it's crazy how yall are still taking these "insiders" for their word

I can't wait for Crackdown 3 gameplay.

You guys think they'll show off Single Player or Multiplayer for it?

Hopefully both. I am still hoping for a worthwhile singleplayer mode with fun missions and such. But I can understand if they focus on MP with the destruction and everything.

No man. The only insiders are people that has covered MS for years and they don't post here.

Matt is a dev, so his inside knowledge is limited to that scope.

Ok good to know then. Thanks!

I think they'll open the show with Crackdown 3, perfect game to grab everyone's attention. If they have managed to pull off the destruction we saw a few years ago. It could be pretty special.

Crackdown Multiplayer will end the show I think, it's the only thing I can see MS doing that really wows the crowd and ends the show on a high

I don't know how reliable crapgamer is, but according to him there will be a big game announced at the Xbox e3 presser. I don't remember what he said in terms of it being exclusive or not, but I asked jez if there was any truth to that, he replied with a yes.

Maybe someone can check the crapgamer video and see if he mentioned it being a Microsoft published game. I'm at work :(

Okay 1 rule. Please dont listen to the Crap Gamer. Guy is a moron. Jez is pretty reliable and since he was able to back it up I can trust that rumor. But Jez is far more reliable and respectful than Crap.

If you are talking about the video he posted last night or was that Rand? I can't keep those guys straight, it was more speculative. I mean it's safe to assume they will have a new IP to announce. Not exactly breaking news.

Crapgamer is not worth anyone's time.

Also, that broad of a prediction can be made by anyone and it has a 99.99% chance of being right. At the very very very worst case scenario, there'll undoubtedly be Forza 7 announced.

isn't one big new announcement pretty much a given.
when was the last time MS had an E3 conference without at least 1 new big game announcement?

but maybe he is talking about games no one has on his radar until happens.
