There have been three majour UI updates for the 360 in 7 years.

Every year they have updated to UI incrementally since launch. First were blades, then the sliding panes, now its Metro.

Beyond the three big UI for the 360, they still do small tweaks annually, like this one.

Previously we had to enter our Xbox info on MS connect, the last one I believed we downloaded an app or something. Can't quite remember.

That was the case because for the first time you can setup on multiple systems (previous previews were locked to console, which prevented you from taking your profile and moving around if you had the beta...)

FL limit is a remnant of allowing online play for OG Xbox games. Or st least I remember reading as much.

It was based on the Halo 2 friends list which had a limit of 100. For whatever reason, Microsoft has chose not to adjust it even though you can't play OG Xbox games through Live anymore.

From what they showed at E3, it looks like pinned items will just be added to a folder on the home screen, like the quick play list.

hopefully people are paying attention to this post so they don't end up disappointed. You won't be able to pin panels to the home tab.

I wonder if they will allow us to preview the new apps like Twitch TV. Also I just signed up via my iPad but all the info they really wanted was my gamertag. I thought they needed your console id.

They streamlined it for the last beta that you no longer need that info.
