I tried that with youtube multiple times and it still wont work for me. I even did all that, and deleted my profile and re-downloaded it. Still wont work.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll wait for the final update, I'll delete all my game installs, videos and DLC and then, I'll move whatever remains to a USB stick before formatting.

Pretty sure they were asking for this before. I had entered that stuff when I was using the Windows 8 CP and RP, and the 360 dash beta had me confirm them a few updates ago.

Found a couple of new apps (new to me, anyway):
Filmstarts - simply a renaming of Screenrush, although in my video apps it still looks the same. On the app tab under video it's now called Filmstarts
Kinect Nat Geo TV - "Experience the award winning programming from nat Geo WILD channel as never before through the magic of Kinect, as host Casey Anderson and his 365kg grizzly bear Brutus lead you on exciting expeditions through Yellowstone and Alaska. Learn about animals and their environment as you interact with real episodes of America the Wild!"
Kinect Sesame Street TV - "Sesame Street comes to life through the magic of Kinect for Xbox 360. Watch, play and learn with Elmo, Grover, Cookie Monster and the rest of your furry friends. Co-developed with Sesame Workshop, Kinect Sesame Street TV offers multiple ways for your kids to learn about topics ranging from letters and numbers to social development."
Both Kinect ones are free.

@Monkeylord Just to make you aware; the Kinect games you're talking about are not free. What you're seeing is the front end; with episodes being available as ingame purchases.
For info. If anyone is interested in these games, it's better to get the retail release as this also includes a code for the online versions (and each version has separate achievements; so 2000 pts in total per game).

i'm having weird issues with that too. fifa 13 tells me that sometimes i have an open one, then it is moderate, and it varies during the day. never happened with the other dashboard.
I'm getting the same. Super annoying, hopefully another update soon resolves it.

I've seen this playing Call of Duty as well. Doesn't really seem to matter though, as I've noticed no difference regardless.

Um, okay. I'm very aware it's a beta. I've been on every dashboard preview before except this one. This one just seems exceptionally crazy. Have fun pounding your chest though, junior.

there are more updates this year, a lot more, but it's the same as past beta dashboards for me.
maybe I've just been lucky and haven't experienced any of the exceptionally crazy stuff others are experiencing.

Seriously, I have been in every beta, and the updates were never this often, or taken so long to download.
Same for me - more updates than past betas, but no problems (yet anyway).

Same here, I actually didn't even think about it until I saw this post.
Also I'm still randomly getting the security setup thing on boot; but I already have it setup. If I go through the steps again it gets to the end then tells me I already have it setup and it just takes me back to the beginning. I always have to just B exit my way out of the menus and manually sign in again, it's pretty annoying. Doesn't happen all the time, maybe like once a week or so.
That's means you still have to go to the website it tells you about. After that, the Xbox will stop bugging you.

I get a weird bug when I sign into my profile. I push A and it immediately says "Disconnected from Xbox Live" as if I was already connected. Then it signs me in automatically afterwards. I have no idea why it does this, and it doesn't really bother me but it is pretty strange behavior.
I'll take a closer look at it when it pops up again, but this doesn't say anything about a website. It just does the thing where it says that they can only get a hold of me through my email and I should set up a text thing (which I've already done), and if I go through the motions again it tells me I'm already set up for it and it takes me back to the beginning.

No, its not going to fix itself. You do actually have to go the website and confirm the proof. I think Xbox com/proofs had the link. Look for 'confirm' next to the email you added

I don't automatically login to my xbox so when I turn it on I get a little screen where I can choose a profile. When I choose one it signs in, signs out and then signs back in.
It only started today and there's been no update so I assume it's something on their end that's gone wrong.
You don't have to use every new feature -- they're also testing for stability, etc. In general, this next dashboard update seems entirely useless to me personally and I think most people will agree.
I haven't.. I don't even really know what they do, frankly. I'll have to look into it.
As others have mentioned, I'm having the same issue regarding not signing into Live. My other Xbox (which I haven't added the beta to) isn't experiencing the issue. I was also having trouble getting on EA's servers to play FIFA last night on one and then was able to on the other, but I think that was just a coincidence and that the issue was on EA's end.

i just signed myself and my fiancees xbox for this last night, it said 1 or 2 business days for the update. little nervous now after reading some of this stuff, i hope we dont have any issues.

Well it is a beta and we are all "testing" it, so there will be minor bugs and glitches that you will encounter.

At least you guys don't have to endure getting disconnected from XBL 2-3 times before it stabilizes. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Even if it were bad, which I don't think it is, if its important enough to sit here and complain about it, then its important enough that you should go post about it so they know.
Just don't sit here and complain when the beta is over and you still have issues.
LQX, its hard to decipher exactly what you're saying, but I believe you're looking in the wrong place.
Aside from having to press A once to connect, I don't think the Beta has been bad at all. ESPN is a much much better experience. It loads quicker, videos play instantly, and they've integrated a much better menu for Kinect controls should you feel super lazy. Has anyone checked to see if the free version of xbox music works?
