Xbox Live Fall 2012 Dashboard Public Beta - Signup Now

Posting from the 360, the browser speed is nice.I wish there was some sort of way to open links in a new window/tab.The right analog stick button doesn't have a purpose so that could work imo.Dashboard is much faster, liking it so far.

So, Im registered in the beta, got the app but no update yet. =(

Getting the app is one thing. Make sure you actually open the app and register your console.

Oh yea according to True Achievements.com there are 1982 games. That includes a ton of imports. But plenty to get to the number I have.

Still. 1000 games? I'm just stunned.

Also, how do you even have hard drive space for all that?

Still waiting for my update. Good news about the "My Games" library, but it's a shame it still takes forever loading up all the items on a hard drive in Storage.

I realise that's not necessarily an OS issue (more of the console/file system not coping with 10,000s of files), but still. I hope the Next Xbox has a more efficient process.

Delete the corrupted files from your HDD and redownload them through the Awards section of the Avatar editor.

Cool. That makes them redownload? I tried setting it from online (without deleting) and it made me invisible.
I have two showing up, with the same stamp: 1/20/12 1:52pm - Which is not the time the award was earned. I have a corrupt Omniblade (March release!)..and still some random numbers for the name of a Halo one.

it's still not shown up for me, been about 10 hours since I ran the app.

I even tried deleting my dashboard update and reinstalling, but it just reinstalled the current one.

Gameboy Emulation is totally possible, granted it goes SUPER slow

I am talking about my games played list. Or achievement list.. I do not literally have 1000 games on my HDD right now. But pulling up my played games list takes over a minute. It slows down my entire dashboard even when I look at my HDD.

I always assumed it was just something that wont be fixed till next gen when they have the resources set aside for what the dashboard has become.

The store is so much better organized. It was embarrassing how messy it was before.

It still would make a whole lot more sense if the Games tab was right after social though, like it was at E3.

It's funny how in the guide it still says "quick play", even though they now call it "Recent" in the dash.

Any UK GAFers get it yet?

Yeah, uk people have had it. Not I though

My friend registered at like 3am this morning and he has had his update, so there must be some kind of queu for processing or something. I didn't do mine til almost 10am

Got my email and got my key.. just need to get home to redeem and download/launch the registration app. I need this update in my life.. I am so excited to read about faster meta data access/caching and well received IE integration.

If only the 360 had an instant-on type functionality for quick internet browsing on my big screen. Perhaps next gen.

Yup. I'm sitting at around 500+, and yeah, pulling up my achievement list, or games played, or just my HDD, is painfully slow. This seems to have sped everything up quite a bit.

Downloaded the app this morning before I went to work. Came home just now (6 hours later) and turned on the Xbox and it's updating. I'll try it out after a shower. I have a PC hooked up to the TV these days but I'm still interested to see how it all works.

Youtube doesn't always use flash, it will switch to other video formats if they are available (which is why some youtube videos work on iphone/ipad)

Hm. Never knew that.

Man, I'm still surprised at how smoothly IE runs...and I'm beginning to like this keyboard more than one on the Dashboard.

It's kind of depressing that you can't just pin things to the home screen instead of having it be covered by ads. I honestly want to find out whoever is behind the useless tv tab and bash his head into the wall for putting it in front of the games tab when most of the world can't even use it.
