If Microsoft didn't have publishing rights then it isn't there place to just put up other's published titles on any ecosystem they choose

Since it's still in beta, dlc is not compatible yet. It will be at public release.

Oh man I just realized it won't be on dedicated since dlc won't work. Uh oh.
What's weird is that I actually agree with both comments.
I really want CoD4:MW and CoD:WaW to be made backward compatible. So many great memories.
But yeah....lighting up my Xbox 360 not too long ago to play CoD4:MW made me realize that its multiplayer servers seem to be home only to cheaters looking for LuLz. And thats really disappointing.
There's also the fact that downloading a game to the Xbox One appears to be additioal. So you can still have that title tied to a 360 console as well for offline use. The BC is essentially giving you and additional usage license which you didn't previously own.

Yep. COD4 and WaW are the most hacked IMO. I gave up on WaW when the other team had God mode on.
MW3, BO, and BO2 seem to be doing quite well without hackers.
MW2 is just a noobtube fest.

Thats what im saying. It seems like that People vote for this games on the Uservoice site like its going to be different on XboxOne. Yeah it would be nice to play this games again etc
But you would still connect to 360 servers. Yeah no thanks. I will keep them as great memories.

I would love to play WAW and MW again, but without the hackers. A quick and dirty port to current gen would fix that.
I just want them to get them on the BC list so that we can move onto better, smaller titles.

There are so many great arcade titles that I can't wait to revisit. Castlevania: Harmony of Despair immediately comes to mind, even if I have to grind every character again.

It will be interesting to see if Ubisoft will only do a ps4/xboxone port of "Assassin's Creed: Rogue" or a port and make it available for backward compatibility or just make it available for backward compatibility.
I hope they choose to go with the middle option. This way everyone will benefit.(escpecially $$$ for Ubisoft)

It makes sense too. While remasters might work in some cases, it's not like they're cheap to produce. Releasing a remaster is a complex set of variables just like any other game. While the actual development is cheaper, it's still expensive to port things to a new platform, processes to release at retail and digitally, and tons of other process which takes a lot of people and a lot of time.
It seems like Ubisoft and other companies are welcoming of the idea of being able to sell their 360 games on Xbox One with pretty much no work at all instead of spending all that time and money putting together remasters (except for obvious remasters which would undoubtedly be successful)

I played through half the game last night on the X1....realized it was after midnight way too late...was tired at work all day.

Are you in the Preview and have the latest update? If so, you usually have to go into the Preview section and start a quest for some of the stuff to work,
Yes I'm in the preview, I ran the quest, the quest even states PDZero but no amounts of re-inserting the disc makes a difference, still tells me it's not supported.
For whatever reason only US PDZ discs currently work.
Well that's rubbish of MS, thanks for letting me know.

I've started and they're good but my 360 is just too noisy these days!

The games are getting more votes because they're popular, not really surprising that people want their favorite games to get supported.
I'd hope MS doesn't really go off this list much anyways. Cod is fine as long as we also get more niche stuff like a deadly premonition or bayonetta.

I'm pretty sure that Ubisoft will make Blacklist into a HD Remake at some point.
I recall thinking that even when it first came out when it had some ridiculous additional assets on another disc.
I mean they'll just wait until another 4 years when they release the next Splinter Cell.
