Tried Lords of the Fallen and it is terrible. A straight up middle of the road character build is SLOW AS FUCK to the extent that it doesn't even feel like playing the game. It feels like yelling instructions to someone who is playing so they do actions after hearing you while you sit and watch and they are very drunk. I've never felt so disconnected from gameplay. And aside from that feeling, it changes the strategy of play to be disengaged from battle and timing careful moves way in advance, and the very limited stamina makes it even more stunted. So the way you have to play is SUPER boring on top of feeling like shit. It's like they wanted to rip off Dark Souls but instead of being clever with tricks they just made it not fun at all to even move and act, in order to directly challenge your will to play at all. It is better to just sit in a chair and do nothing but relax than waste your time on this game.

Played the small portion of Lords of the Fallen that you can play whilst it's downloading. Not too bad so far. Playing as a warrior type dude and it starts you off almost over-encumbered so it does feel pretty poop as Dice mentioned. If you strip off all the armour you can prance around mobs with ease so I have no fear about trudging through porridge during the whole game.

So because of the sale, and because I'm loving The Division at the moment, I tried out the Destiny demo. It seems good, and the gunplay was satisfying, but I couldn't find any way to matchmake with randoms in the demo. Surely that's a demo limitation, or is there really no matchmaking in the full game?

I don't know about basic Destiny so I'm just talking about Taken King, which you should get if you get it because there is an actually-worth-it amount of content there.

There is matchmaking coop on certain missions called Strikes, and there are always people out in the wild that you'll end up doing random environment events with, and there is matchmaking in the PvP arena. UNFORTUNATELY there is no matchmaking for raids, so I still haven't done any raids because there are way less players on xbone and I'm too lazy to go around begging people and setting up a time.

That said, while it lasts, Destiny is fantastic. The gunplay is just sooo perfect and the way they balance firepower and cooldown abilities and shield recharge is basically perfect to get that "in the thick of it" feeling all the time. You can surely die, but skill will keep you riding the fine line and bouncing back, which is better than they ever did in Halo. PvP on the other hand tends to be really annoying in a few ways, so it doesn't have super long life.

Destiny and matchmaking is a topic that has raged for 18 months :)

I don't think story missions have matchmaking. Strikes (harder "kill the target missions) DO have matchmaking.

Nightfalls, which are the hardest strikes DONT have matchmaking, and raids (6 player missions that need a LOT of cooperation) DONT have matchmaking.

Normal PvP modes DO have MM, the higher tier PvP event, a weekly 3v3 elimination, DOESNT have MM.

There are tons of LFG sites and also 40 OT threads of gaffers who play (or mainly used to play) regularly.

So Many Me was around 15 hours for the 1000/1000 for me. The game is increeeedible. One of my favourite puzzle games ever.

It's cute, with a lovable art style, so many cute costumes to give your Me characters, and music that inspires happy thoughts. The game play is great. There's the first 2/3rds which mostly is a series of satisfying puzzle levels, where each level has 3-6 collectibles and finding each collectible is a puzzle AND finding the exit is a puzzle in itself. And there's the last third of the game which partially keeps the puzzle elements but takes the Me gimmick and applies it to platforming levels instead.

Whether you're playing the platforming sections or the puzzle sections, the game oozes happiness and cuteness. You can customize what costumes your Me characters can wear... the game is always bright and colourful and cheery. It's just a wonderful experience, in terms of atmosphere and game play.
