I'm not 100% sure, but I was told you had to be picking up the system to get the 40.00 day one live deal.

Edit: I was told my local GS store was also going to be giving away X1 t-shirts. Not sure if this is all stores or not.

Of the Spike special? The PS4 one was an enormous waste of time. Showing stuff you already saw, combined with interviews of people waiting in line and executives doing marketing talk.

They had the Uncharted teaser which was cool, but not worth losing sleep over.

People are upset that I'm disappointed in what MS is delivering at launch? It's far from perfect. Heres what I have determined from looking at streams

1. UI is sluggish. They clearly have some optimization they need to do. Especially when apps are snapped.
2. The TV guide voice commands seems pretty flaky. Sad because I really wanted this to work well. I am a harmony remote user and I was thinking that maybe if this was solid enough then it could replace my remote.
3. MS's natural language processing is not nearly as good as Google's or Apples. Hopefully this can be fixed with time
4. Loading times are massive
5. No management of your own storage sucks
6. Snapping TV and using voice to change channels loses game focus. This seems like an extreme oversight and a terrible decision and I am hoping this gets fixed very soon.

Despite all this I am willing to give them my hard earned money to be one of the first people to try out this new technology. I want to see the issues with my own eyes and decide if the console works for me. I love technology of all kinds and I love being an early adopter.

It's their opinion just like you have yours. I don't understand why some of you get so f'ing aggressive. Seriously, in due time, you'll have your system and they'll have theirs and get to enjoy a brand new gen.

I've done it at the beginning of last gen myself and it makes no sense. Concerns should be raised when they are noticed. If you don't like them, ignore them and enjoy what you're getting.

You're not doing anything out of the ordinary just like those with hardware issues or concerns with the PS4 did.

Give it a year and most thing will work. MS just bite off a lot for launching a new console.

You're better off picking one up a year later when the OS and code is optimized. Until then your complaints will be quite repetitious.

Because we are here trying to enjoy ourselves. Dump the hardware issues in the hardware issue thread, or game issues in the game issue threads. Otherwise it's trolling, and very annoying it is in every thread.

I'm tuned in to this. Honestly Sony's thing last week was disappointing. Only thing that i liked was the Towerfall announcement. I love that game.

Yeah well I'm at best buy. Along with only 20 other people... Far less from the 200+ here for last weeks launch. Is it bad I'm regretting buying it before I play it lol. Owell.

I know most gamestops in my area got about 2/3 of the stock they did of PS4's, and not nearly as many extra system so I'm going to say its pretty damn unlikely. Worldwide? Maybe, though the interest in europe just doesn't seem to be there. But MS might get lucky. In the US alone... I don't see it.

Canada post fucking sucks. games arrived yesterday according to the tracker but were no where to be found in my box. they showed up today. the xbox was out for delivery but the guy left a pick up tag. I even called for him to stop within feet and he simply ignored me. Went to pick up the system tonight and the woman at counter refused to walk 10 feet to get it from the back. claims shes only handing out the remaining mail in the two small bins she had on the counter... wtf!

Yes Canada Post is horrible and every time something ships using them I cringe.

Got a day one edition without a pre-order at Best Buy. Stoked. Already paid for console and games and got my games. Now Im waiting midnight to collect my alreadt paid for non-preorder day one console. Yeah!
