If you want to wait for more impressions, there will be places selling it for $50 on black friday, but I just asked my mate and he's had no problems as of yet.

It's in the Settings.

You can check boxes to make the XBOX ONE control the functionality for your receiver, cable/satellite box and television so when you turn your XBOX on and off, it will do it for everything.

Just make sure you have run the intial set up for each of those devices. (it should have taken you through those steps at the start)

Netflix doesn't have support to use actual names for shows though... you have to use the prompts that show up

Just ordered it. The only other game I would buy is forza and I can just wait, everything else is a rent and beat kind of game.
 
So hdmi in from dtv, out to home theater out to tv all hdmi?

should work right? Change any settings? Not getting signal going through hdmi... maybe the cables?

Or should i go optical out for audio and direct to tv from xbox?
 
Got DR3 digitally - you can start playing at around 43% but only about 20 minutes in, you encounter an invisible wall with the notification that the game needs to install more. :-/

I finally am able to control my HTPC with Xbox One. It took me a while to figure it out, so hopefully this will help someone in the future.

You'll need an IR blaster receiver to connect to your PC, and an IR blaster cable to connect from the Xbox One to the receiver.

In the TV setup, type in Microsoft when it asks for the brand of cable box you're using.

It'll send a test command to power off your HTPC. My HTPC reacted by logging me out.

That's all there is to it.

Now I'm able to use the One Guide and Kinect voice commands to change channels in Windows Media Center.

Waited at Best Buy for 5 hours in 30 degree weather, but it was worth it...
Even if I couldn't get any games haha.

Similarly, seems like PS4s are only going for around $100 dollars over retail price. This is definitely not 2005. The economy in the United States is a bit different now. However, we'll probably have to wait black friday to see if the prices jump.

That's quite a big difference from the UK to US then. I'm checking out the UK and most are selling for £550-650 which is roughly $900-1000 in conversion.

Madness lol.

Well my friend has been enjoying it. Not picking it up myself till it's cheaper here in the UK though. EA can fuck right off with what they are trying to charge for it.
 
Need a mount for the Kinect. The rubber makes it feel pretty good on top, but afraid of it falling backwards. Hope it being near those bottom speakers is okay.
 
3 hours in and cod is only 13%. wtf is this shit. also, I keep getting disconnected from live and it wont install while im offline.
