Normally, I would pass on a game like Ryse. But it looks so phenomenal visually that I can't pass on the opportunity to experience all of the graphical candy.

I just got my shipping notification from the Microsoft Store in Canada.

Here's hoping they decide we can get in on the fun early.

Shit, how many times can one person announce they're leaving a thread and come back.

I'll leave if no more "comebacks' are thrown my way... easy as that.

And to clarify, i never entered this thread meaning to insult your console of choice, was merely pointing out that IMHO the thread title could be better... but i digress...

And i'm out...
as long as no one says... GOOD RIDDANCE or some such... unless ya'll want me to stay here a while longer :)

How am i trolling?, do i need to explain my point again?, look... this thread is supposed to be hyping up the XBO, and yet the thread subtitle puts the spotlight on an issue that's currently bringing it down in a lot of people's eyes. I pointed out the fact that the thread title should be celebrating a positive aspect of the system... not a problem... is that so hard to understand?, should i be sent to trial?, should i contact my lawyer?

The thread title doesn't celebrate low resolutions, it implies that the resolution is "fine" and other aspects are more important.

You compared it to having a 360 launch thread titled about RROD (in a positive manner). This is stupid because it's a hardware failure that fucked over a lot of people and made their consoles unplayable. A resolution difference between PS4 and XB1 doesn't make their consoles unusable.

You know this of course. There is no need for me to explain this to you. This is why your posts in this thread are shitposts. You are doing this on purpose to steer discussion away from thing you don't want people to discuss. Do you understand?

Is there a Microsoft store near to you? They have playable Xbox Ones already ^_^. Being hyped for the new Xbox feels so right.

None sadly. Closest game store is about 2 hours drive and they might not even have a playable unit.

I'll wait. ;p

I have taken time off work and have plans to do nothing but play the XBOX One on release day.

However, seeing how PS4 launch is going, I am thinking I may be down for a disappointment regarding online play.

I'm surprised anyone is getting bent out of shape over the title. I'm not buying a console so I can have the best resolution or best graphics, I'm buying a console because I want to play console exclusive games, and I happen to prefer the few Microsoft exclusives.

Besides, I feel like some folks are forgetting the magic word: optimization. Remember how mediocre PS3 and 360 specs are on paper? Remember how great some games were looking within a year of release, by the end of its lifetime? It will be no different this time around with the One and the 4.

That and I have a glorious PC for all my multiplat needs.

well. I am pretty confident that the xone will be a bit more stable at least for local gaming than the PS4. As far as live, it is something that remains to be seen.

My confidence comes from knowing MS is a software company, and that they have been willing to display the OS weeks before release. On the hardware side they also went much more conservative than Sony.

I'm not one to walk away when they're throwing insults at me.

Actually the only people bothered by it seem to be the guys who felt persecuted through the PS3 haz no gamez era, the rest of us are like oh it's a game, I can play it meh.

imho if resolution was really an issue people would be buying PC's a $400 PC should play games at 1080p @ 30fps with better AA and textures, as I said earlier people just like to justify their choices by trying to ruin other peoples hype.

Microsoft probably has the much more resilient infrastructure with Azure. Nevertheless, the first week(s) will be a mess and a patchathon. That's almost a law of nature for online service launches of this magnitude.

Who cares, we'll just play always-offline.

Sorry if its already been asked but just how sensitive is Kinect to voice commands? One of my roommates purchased the PS4 yesterday and the other one is purchasing the XBOne next week. I want to know if "Xbox Off" trolling is as viable as share button trolling.

In all seriousness we do plan on plugging the PS4 into the XBOne HDMI in for shits and giggles. Can't wait.

Quick question for 360, since I have never used cloud saves.
I need to move upstairs and don't have a configured USB. Do I need to log into the game first, or do I just enable the cloud and everything is uploaded on the HDD?

Right. So on the 360 it works like this. If you set up your cloud storage for saves, you will get a new option when you choose your save location when starting a game. There you would have to select the cloud storage.

Or you can upload existing saves from your HDD to the cloud but you have to do that manually.

I just hope that on the Xbox One it actually works like they advertise cloud saves, basically how Steam handles them.

Because right now when you use the cloud storage it will create a 512MB cache on your HDD, so that when your Internet connection drops you can still keep playing the game and it will try to upload the save from your cache the next time you connect to Live.

However there is no way to retrieve that save. So you essentially have a backup that you cannot access which is bullshit.

Like I said just do it like Steam or Sony with PS+. Automatically upload all saves to the cloud and keep a local copy on the HDD.

And that is how they advertise the feature on the 360 when it doesn't work like that.

Bringing this up for the new page:

I gotta understand how this'll work out.

I don't have a set top box and simply get my tv channels through cable.

The HDMI and AUX cables are connected to the Receiver. Will I simply be able to direct the HDMI cable to the Xbox One IN port?

And can I change channels with my voice like saying "Xbox, change to channel 11"?

These have potential lol

When I get home tomorrow I'll try doing some, not a single Crews gif showed up in 1.5k posts yet. :(

This bugs me too, I have 2 stepbrothers with a PS3 each, hating on anything MS. I can already see them shouting "Xbox Go Home" into my room.

IIRC, Kinect only recognizes voice commands if you are actively facing the camera. Probably it also restricts commands to the person that is logged in.

So if you have a twin brother, you are fucked.

I think this thread needs to be closed and re-done. This thread should be about celebrating the release of the Xbox One and it has turned to shit like many other threads related to the Xbox One. I thought the thread title was funny, but obvious it is too much of an invitation for those not getting the Xbox One to come in and shit things up.

Just my opinion, so take that as you will.
