You want the sensor getting as much as your body in as possible. If it's over the TV, it may miss a lot of your legs. Under your TV, it may miss your hands when you raise them above your head, but I don't think that matters as much. Also, below your TV, it has a better chance of seeing you seated.

I think Games with Gold on XBO will launch right after E3. I seem to remember Sony starting PS+ games after an E3 reveal. It seems like a great way to build up hype and get people excited to jump in that weren't day 1. While at the same time if you bought a game right away you don't feel like you wasted money, because that means you had the game for about 8 months. I'd be surprised if they started in Feb/March.

I think I'm mounting it on the TV. I've ordered the PDP mounts, but they won't be here until early December, so I have time to change my mind.

Based on the height information in that leaked Brazilian manual, mounted up top seems like a better fit for my setup.

With the increased vertical viewing angle (60 degrees), I don't think the Kinect 2.0 will have any trouble seeing your feet, unless it's obstructed, which is why I have to go up top.

PDP mount: Didn't realize Best Buy had it listed for 11/22. Gamespot had listed for 11/13 and now 11/20. Amazon lists it for 12/04.

I think BF4 will give you more of that next gen wow factor. Dead Rising 3 might be one of those singleplayer games that take an hour or so of tutorials and easy levels before they really start letting you loose.

* Kinect's improved viewing angle also makes it better at sitting under your TV, in front of the stand since it can "see" floor at a FAR more raked angle now
* IR blaster is total Honey Badger and can EASILY hit a device anywhere in the same room (even if, like mine, that device is DIRECTLY beneath the Xbox One)
* Is also surprisingly good in noisy environments
