Question for you fellow Xboners

So I know at the moment that controlling your DVR through the XBO is not possible, as far as looking through recordings and even starting recordings. However, is that a software limitation, or is there something in the hardware that keeps that from occurring? (Not sure what that hardware would be, but whatever)

Basically, is this something that could be added later by MS? That would be fantastic.

Cannot wait for Friday!!

Don't quote me but I swear I read on twitter from one of the MS folks that that is something for down the line.

Meh, just ignore the trolls and we'll be fine. The conversation will quickly go back on topic. Anyway, if it were to be re-done the trolls would just join us in the new thread.

Sounds good. Thanks. I just got home from work and checked out exactly the last two pages and it was just crap after crap. So it is good that it was only those 2 pages...well with the exception of the guy that has the post on the top of this page asking a question from us "Xboners". lol

The thread's been pretty good - I've gotten some useful information from it. There have been a couple of trolls but if people remember the rule that was established over twenty years ago of "do not feed the trolls" it would be better. It's the defensive people shitting it up more so than anything. Don't engage.

See, this is interesting.

Like if one of my roommates is playing XBOne and the other wants to watch a football/basketball game on that TV (and doesn't want to be bothered with snap) could he possibly sit right beside him for a minute and then just yell "XBOX OFF?"

I know one thing, we'll find out soon. Will record and post.

Since the Kinect has an IR receiver (used to tell controller positions), that could be pretty easy for them to include later on. You'd just have to set each button's IR signal to the corresponding commands. That, or they'd need to collect a lot of remote codes from a lot of cable providers. It definitely seems like something that could be patched in eventually.

If you're okay with a bit of a wait, Shadow Jago is only exclusive to the XBL deal until Feb. 1st.

After that, he'll probably be available as DLC. At launch, he's just a re-skinned Jago anyway so you're not missing much until they flesh him out.

I thought I remember also seeing that it won't just turn off, there's a 'are you sure?' type of screen. Also why not just say Xbox watch tv and it'll suspend the game :)

Two new consoles within a week of each other. Probably the closest I've come in 30 years to the giddiness of a childhood Christmas - just loving this!

i think everyone is sort of on the fence about Ryse......im gonna wait till the review and either get that or NFS

Apart from that the other titles look solid....as much as people hate on kinnect kids love those kinnect sports titles

My pick of the bunch is defiantly forza....cant wait to jump into the lotusf1 car

Your friend just could unplug Kinect so voice commands won't work. I imagine there will probably be an option to disable voice commands for certain things like a console shutdown as well.

What do you guys think will be the first couple games on Games with Gold?
I'll probably go AAA off the start, like Forza/NFS/BF4 type games, I'm scared Ryse or Zoo Tycoon will be free by March if I spend $60 now.

maybe the first season of KI and that bike game, but i hope for zoo tycoon and ryse

Yeah I have a gut feeling Zoo Tycoon will be up first, at any case it'll definitely be this year.

Meh, I don't think Games with Gold will launch till Summer onwards anyway. They need to let the library build up.

Who knows, maybe they'll digitally port over some 360 games?

I'm thinking under. It just works better on my entertainment system but I'll probably mess around with it to see where it does better with identifying people.

Just an FYI....

Toys "R" Us is running 2 different deals for the Xbox One launch.:

Buy 2 games or accessories that are $59.99 each and get a $15.00 Gift Card
Buy 3 games or accessories that are $59.99 each and get a $50.00 Gift Card

It is the same deal that they ran this week for the PS4. I have 2 $50.00 GC right now to use next week since I got 3 games on one transaction and then 2 games a 2nd PS4 Controller on another transaction.
