It's funny, considering where we were after the reveals (PS4 - "For the gamers!" vs XB1 - "TV TV TV TV TV") that XB1 is actually looking in better shape games wise right now. It almost certainly has by far the stronger launch lineup, although Sony set that bar way low.

I know its a long shot, but does anyone know if you can use your old Kinect 1.0 wall mount with the new Kinect?

sold off the old Kinect a few days ago because I don't need the clutter, but left the wall mount up because I figured I couldn't get anything for it anyway

I don't have a super fancy set up (everyones got their budget) but itd be nice if I could use the wall mount for something other than having an awesome place to put Arnie from Predator.

I mean, you could balance it on top but the entire base is different unfortunately

Isn't Sony usually more prominent in terms of announcements at the VGA's ? They may hold off until TitanFall is out, going into E3

They usually are, but with a new console launch, I think MS might take the opportunity to either reveal a couple of new games or show off gameplay from already announced games like Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break and maybe Black Tusks game.

Don't sweat it KI is practically an "under construction" game, Titanfall doesn't come out till March, and Games for Gold won't be up on X1 until sometime next year so the only thing you guys are missing is the hype and potentially hardware defects

Nope, I grew up with Playstation. Then PS2. Then PS3. And now Xbone (at a time when the Xbox brand is not exactly in the best situation while Playstation has done pretty damn well for itself). At the end of the day they are just game consoles. Plastic boxes. I don't believe in identifying yourself with products despite whatever marketing forces may want to indoctrinate you with (on either side). If you don't have the money for both choosing your first console is as simple as doing a cost-benefit analysis of what games and ecosystem you prefer more and what money you're able to put down.

I have gotten quite tired of seeing the fanboy wars this month. At the end of the day both the PS4 and the Xbox One are going to truly deliver a fantastic gaming experience at launch and for many years to come. I want to see both consoles do great and the launches go off without a hitch because its only going to make gaming and the gaming community a better place.

Just bought my Xbox Beacon Day One Live Card and an extra Day One controller. Hate to have two different ones.

Still was kicking with a Day 1 360 until a year ago when I upgraded to a slim. Just needed more hard drive space. Will see if MS Live can keep up next week, my only concern.

Have all Day one editions heading my way.

From memory, when you take the big bulky black connected off that wall mount you kinda have two bits of plastic sticking out don't you? That might be a more study place for kinect to sit, you'd probably want to attach it somehow though (maybe rubber bands?)

At some point yeah, but Phil says MS and Epic are giving it a rest atm and if it comes back it'll likely be rebooted. I mean at the minimum it's gonna be 2 years dev and if they're not making it now .. I'd guess fall 2016 at the earliest.

Think MS should take a look at the success of TellTale with The Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us and bolster that portfolio with a point and click adventure of their own, perhaps a new ip or acquire an ip usually not gaming related.

I know with a new gen everyone looks forward to the shooters, RPGS etc but I'm personally excited to see what can improve in the point and click genre.

Don't let that bother you as some games are 1080p and one is 1080p/60fps locked, which I don't know of any other AAA title for the next gen systems that can say that. I really think that devs just had a hard time with the esram and late arriving tools. I think 1080p will be something we will see more of as they get to terms with updated dev. tools etc.
