Can someone explain what the impulse triggers do? Is it like a sensitivity thing?
What I would do is wait for the XB1 to arrive then sign in to see what content you can download from Live.
With a bit of luck if you can download the free cersion of KI then it will probably allow you to purchase the upgrade.
I have a UK account but live in Spain and when I tried to purchase some Game on Demands or movies it wouldnt allow me to due to the region lock or something.
I think though its based on your IP not the country you have saved in your billing address because I managed to buy them through Xbox.com using a proxy. But this was 2 years ago.
So maybe you could put the points on your main account then use a UK proxy onto Xbox.com to buy KI and let it place it into your downloads list. Boot up the XB1 and it should start downloading.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the Day One and regular model numbers are? My pre-order from Best Buy matches up with the day one edition, but I can't seem to find the information for the regular edition.

Are there any kinds of deals on launch games? Bought a PS4 as well so I'm quite poor, although the console itself has been paid off so there's no worry there.
Edit: One more question, will every single version of Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, and Ryse be day 1 editions? Had to cancel the amazon pre-orders so I'll be buying them in-store at launch most likely.

Dedicated servers basically means less lag.
It also means we won't have to deal with problems like Host migration etc. anymore.

I've had some serious rage moments in Halo which have been conveniently blamed on host advantage.
Seems the Xbox could still be the best place to play multiplayer games this gen. What kind of advancements do you think MS will do with thier online this gen? I'm assuming they'll continue to refine the network.
Yeah, they'll continually improve it throughout the generation. They also have a pretty big focus on cloud computing which I don't know that much about.
Supposedly it'll allow for improved AI and physics etc. For example Titanfall is using the cloud to calculate the AI in their multiplayer matches. Forza is using it for drivatar. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of games start to take advantage of it. There is a lot of skepticism about the actual application of cloud computing however. So we'll have to see how it pans out.
Ad here I still have to wait until December to receive my Xbox One but its still better than to wait until next year as I'm in Scandinavia.
Ryse: Son of Rome will definitely be my launch game now that it too supports the rumble triggers. Only reviews can sway me. I also consider Dead Rising 3 and NBA 2K14.
But I also need some PS4 games, so I might hold back. Gotta go with FIFA 14, Killzone: Shadow Fall and maybe Call of Duty: Ghosts for Sony's machine.

I thought European XOnes came with with Fifa. Why buy it for the PS4? Even if the PS4 version is better, it won't beat a free game.

Free FIFA or Forza is only with Day One Editions. But I have noticed some shops are offering the games for free with standard consoles.

In Australia there are essentially three SKUs available on launch.
Day One Editions (Sold Out) [Also includes FIFA]
FIFA Editions (Sold Out)
Standard Editions (Still available for Nov 22nd)
i ordered all games from game uk, since they offered the day 1 and limited special editions that amazon didnt.
so i got two packages incoming 8)
day 1 xbone with fifa code and forza 5 regular on same day delivery amazon and
a bunch of day 1 editions and forza limited , regular delivery from game uk
should have just enough time to test forza and killer instict until game package hits the mail..

I got the same. Would be nice to receive it early, but if they used "standard" shipping I don't see it arriving early. Be curious to to see what the expected delivery date is on UPS once the information shows up on their side.

The only differences between the two is that the day one edition comes with a controller that has 'Day One 2013' on it with a chrome D-pad and an exclusive day one achievement. If you're in Europe however, the day one edition comes with either a free download code for Fifa or Forza 5. Not sure about anywhere else.
Oh, and the day one edition comes in a black box and the regular comes in a green one.

I've been so lucky with the Day One. I originally ordered here in the UK the day it was announced but now I'm in Spain and won't be back for the launch.
I was going to wait until December to play it but I decided to cancel. Luckily though a local shop to me here in Spain said he can get me the Day One Edition and I only asked him this Tuesday and he said he can get all the Day One launch and 3rd party games.
He said he put in an order for five Day One Editions just to have them in-stock in case anyone comes to the shop on the day but he said so far not one person has put an order or deposit. All his customers put in orders for PS4.
So luckily I'm the only person picking one up on the day. Hopefully I get everything in the morning. ;d

What makes you think FIFA 14 is better on PS4?
If anything it will be better on XOne with it's exclusive features I have no doubt in my mind that they look identical on both systems.
If it's a day-one Xbox One preorded in Europe it will have the FIFA 14 digital code in the box.

I'm going to say yes unless there are some last minute stock openings around your area, to get one you'll most likely have to go launch night and pick up one from the walk-in stock.

Had a party for my wife last night...later in the evening a bunch of us got to playing Super Street Fighter 4. There were a bunch of good matches and it ended up being a pretty awesome way to bid a fond farewell to the 360 (its not going anywhere but probably wont play anything else this week).

There is no micro-USB cable included and the controller will not be capable of charging 3rd party batteries such as eneloops.
If you forget to charge your controller it can run off a micro-USB connection without any batteries.
That is kind of sad. Everything I've been hearing was that you could charge batteries with a cable. Looks like I'll be going with the play and charge kit again this generation.
Why would you possibly do that?
Eneloops are sure to last a lot longer than the Play & Charge kit and you can alternate your batteries on the charger.
If you ever do end up in a situation with no batteries the entire controller can run on the micro-USB connection, micro-USB will only charge official batteries.
