Not a fan of how the vents take up half of the console's real-estate when it comes to customization. Obviously not an issue since I'm just getting the normal version for now but it could end up looking weird for some.

That white is sexy as hell though - should have sold that thing at launch.

Except you can't use the system without the blu-ray drive. Since the 180s, you can literally throw your Kinect in the garbage the second you get your XBO and not have a care in the world.

If you were going a digital route you might never use the Blu-ray drive. I actually think it is more likely that Microsoft would release a version without the drive, rather than one without Kinect.

I could be completely wrong though!

I got a PS3 a few months before Uncharted 2 came out. Honestly, though, I wasn't too impressed with the avalanche there. I played U1 and was pretty meh on it, Resistance, Folklore and was like 'eh' and was close to regretting my purchase.

Getting a PS3 around Uncharted 2 is easy mode. This is from my old trasaction history.

TitanFall fits into the "launch window" as defined by Nintendo.

Personally I'm thrilled Kinect is part of the package. Some of that UI greatness just couldn't be possible without it. Devs can count on everyone having it.

And it's probably going to be used with whatever VR (Fortaleza glasses) tech Microsoft is cooking up. They won't have to worry about people having to adopt two different peripherals for things to work right. Including Kinect is huge and it will only become more evident as time goes on.

I would be very surprised if there wasn't a Titanfall limited edition system. I think MS is hoping for/expecting a lot of people to "jump ahead" when Titanfall releases.

I decided to order a dedicated capture card. I always held off because I had doubts about my connection and computer, but I'll just return it if it doesn't work. I got really excited about the recording/streaming support in these consoles -- but it seems like it will take some time for these to be where I would like them. The PS4's not archiving on Twitch for now, the XBO may or may not have Twitch day 1, and neither console having upload to YouTube support made me decide to pull the trigger.

Hopefully I'll have some sexy next-gen XBO footage this time next week.

The expectation is that I would not be the only one voting that way, much like the mass of people who didn't jump on the PS3 immediately and forced Sony to change. But, again, that's just my perspective. Putting aside gaming for a moment, I think it's really sad for any subject when people believe their own vote doesn't matter. If everyone has that attitude, then it really doesn't matter. Fortunately, we have plenty of examples where this is not the case

It's the masses which none of us here are apart of. Your vote didn't matter for the PS3, the problem with that is that it was too expensive for everyone. Not trying to change your mind, but there's a false perception to the whole "If everyone has that attitude, then it really doesn't matter" belief.

If what you said was true, then society would be a much different place than it is today.
