DDDDSomeone earlier in the thread claimed that they sold their PS4 for an X1. I imagine if you really wanted to switch, it would be easier/better to sell it. I can't imagine trade-in would be that much...
The Gamestop stores in my area are going to have enough to cover all preorders and a *few* extra - less extra stock than they had for the PS4 launch. (The store I am picking up my preorder from is receiving four extras above preorder, so that should give you an idea...)

So my Amazon preorder got upgraded to a Day One Edition. I really want to play Forza 5, and to a lesser extent, Dead Rising 3, Crimson Dragon, and Killer Instinct. Just sold my PS4 yesterday and made $150, which was my intention to make up for the extra cost of the One, but I still don't know if it's worth paying $500. I might try to sell it when it gets here if I can make a decent profit, but I guess it depends on the reviews for the 4 games I want to play.

It's all a blur consisting of Resistance multiplayer, gamefaqs, a lot of Call of Duty, Heavenly Sword, the odd actually good game like Valkyria Chronicles and Wipeout here or there, and being a sexually frustrated teenager who would download poorly drawn custom XMB themes. This lasted for years.

What's the trade in value for PS4? If it's anything close to 300 dollars wouldn't the 90% bonus actually get you more money than what's going for on ebay (about 550)?

So anyone know if all cable boxes will work with the One Guide? I have Direct TV and I would love if I could use the Xbox One/Kinect Voice navigation to watch TV.

I believe Major Nelson said Direct TV worked great with Xbox One (it's what he has). So I assume so.

So does anyone know why Crimson Dragon isn't on Amazon at all?
Xbox One has a Twitch viewing app at launch, but not Twitch streaming functionality. I can't find the link at the moment, but it was stated recently by someone at MS. Perhaps on Twitter.
Because Amazon isn't selling Xbox One digital titles. Yet.

Also there are tons of games coming out that require Kinect and no obvious designation on the boxes that you need a Kinect (since everyone has one). So if you were to remove Kinect it would cause a pretty huge problem at retail in that there are tons of games for the Xbox One floating around (not clearly marked) that would be incompatible with some new systems. Not insurmountable, but it would cause an enormous headache for everyone at retail to make Kinect optional. It would also screw over a ton of devs who are creating games for it to pull the rug out from under their feet and not stick to your promise.
Given the sales success of the Playstation 4 camera, growing popularity of Twitch/Ustream streaming, and likely success of the Xbox One I think it is more likely that the sensors become standard on both systems rather than the reverse. Even the Wii U comes with a camera standard. Just like so many people here said they wanted online console gaming to be free on Xbox, but what ended up really happening is that you have to pay for online multiplayer on both systems. This forum and some of it's most vocal individuals are often going off in the opposite direction of reality.
Also I agree that the road to Fortaleza was the main long term vision for this console generation. Cloud gaming and augmented reality/motion control are the initial design goal points, potentially for both companies.

Dang, that sucks. The streaming stuff has been my most anticipated feature personally.

360 launch was great but I have feeling I'm going to enjoy this one much more. $100 isn't going to hurt my feelings though still think they could have a done a SKU without it. Obviously that would be the one that really moves kit.

I've been enjoying the feature on PS4. There's an app that lets you search feeds that are only coming from PS4 users. Sold me on Lego Marvel.
Fortunately there is a product for people who want to stream on twitch. It's called the PS4
I thought the Twitch app was different on the Xbox One in that it's what allowed you to broadcast? Rather than being integrated into the OS like the PS4 I thought you just snapped the Twitch app and it allowed you to stream.

Fuck yes! Basically confirms my family will buy another 2 Xbox Ones this year, one for my room, and one for the living room for the entire family to play/use TV/work out/watch movies, and then another one for my parent's room to use TV/play/watch movies.
I'm amazed by how Microsoft has basically made the perfect entertainment box.

You still need a pretty good PC for that, no? Might as well get a PS4. It would probably be cheaper.
