Puts the green box to shame and really justifies dat day 1 edition (I am still extremely serious about this).

You're a monster, how could you let your son do such a thing ;_;

Meant friend, and he wasn't going to play any of those games again anyway. No point in letting them collect dust, and it beats spending money from your pocket.

Wait saying XBox One will also turn on your TV? o_O

"Xbox on" will. "Xbox One" might do it too.

There's apparently a stop listening command that makes it listen only for the "Xbox" prefix. Does that mean we don't have to say "Xbox" all the time and a simple "go to Netflix" might get the job done?

I really hope we see more of this game at the Xbox spike event

Oh.

Yes. Microsoft has done a poor job of communicating how it makes you look like a fucking wizard.

Edit: Wow, people are selling their day 1 controllers for $130. So tempting.

I'm keeping expectations in check for that event. It's more of a party than it is a reveal show which is why they are taking over Times Square and Mackelmore is performing. We might get some teaser trailers but I'm not holding my breath.

will saying "xbox on" turn on my xbox, tv, receiver, and cable box???

That's the idea.

That's why I think he Xbox will start to do very well via word of mouth.

I'm so looking forward to having my son wake up at 6 and me start the TV up with my voice.

Five more days to go... much more excited about the Xbox one launch than the PS4. I didn't even open my PS4 until the day after. For damn sure I will be opening my Xbox one day one and playing Forza, Crimson Dragon, Dead Rising exclusive games!

I'm sorry, but every time I see that cover all I can see is booty. QB is going to be amazing. In Remedy I trust.

Also, Project Spark is not getting the recognition it deserves. I've seen every Team Dakota stream and my hype level rises every time I watch. I'm already jotting notes, thoughts and prototypes on the game I'm going to make.

That's one hell of a crop. And I laughed a little bit.

What are the upcoming Xbox Exclusive rumored to launch? Everyone keeps putting QB and SO on 2014 but I don't buy that for a second. The short trailers are watermarks of games that aren't coming out for at least a year.

Or studios that don't have the time to do more than that for shows when the games are a ways out.

Didn't get the memo regarding the 14th Amendment
i would totally go Dead Rising 3. Seems like they sorted out the framerate and Vancouver know how to do a great DR game :) You know it's going to have a lot of meat in regards to gameplay and content

If you don't like Forza, I would say Dead Rising. It offers more value than Ryse. If you want pure eye candy, then go with Ryse. You also have Battlefield, CoD (lol) and Assassins Creed available.

Yeah, I figured Dead Rising 3 would be the obvious pick. I'm not really that big of a Dead Rising fan, but I'll look into it. I honestly might be picking the eye candy that is Ryse - as long as it doesn't really, really suck. I only need it to be average for it to be my launch game of choice.

Heh, I may even go Killer Instinct. It's such a shame that Crimson Dragon is getting really bad reviews; I had high hopes for that game.

yes. And your receiver.

Is this the future? Holy shit that's fucking awesome. Honestly the Xbox One may not be impressive with it's specs, but by god the voice navigation is so cool and the multitasking is amazing. The Xbox One is going to wow my family when I put it in the living room.

But what do you mean by properly set up?

They all connected with HDMI but do I need to so anything more?

Right now when I turn on my tv, I also have to manually turn on my receiver.

You can usually get your TV to turn it on though HDMI, same thing with the XboxOne. Kinect can also IR blast it on.

Is there any word about being able to stream the signal from your HDMI in port? Like a slingbox, but using smartglass as the controller/viewer or directly to twitch.

I know someone from slingbox came to work on the One, but haven't heard if this is possible.

I think if it was in the first 3 quarters of 2014 we would have gotten a date that said 2014. If it was coming out any later, we'd have solid rumors. But, I don't pay attention to/seek information on those rumors. Regardless, what's the rumor mill say on those games? Hell, what's the speculation, on those games? Is there or is there not a new Halo for Winter 2014?

Yeah, Crimson Dragon is disappointing, but I'm getting it for $20 anyway and hoping for the best.

Crimson Dragon should've been released on 360 (with controller support). Never did get hyped for the game knowing that it started as a 360 game and it shows.
