I paid £40 for my copy of MCC, day one, and was let down by how terrible it was put together.

Now dashboard beta people get it early, for free, after paid MCC users put up with shit?

i'm so fucking done with halo.

Really? Even if they didn't buy MCC, they would only get it for one weekend. You get it for 3 weeks straight.

Not sure if I want to even try this beta out after all I have seen, it's the principle of shoving paying users to the side, men in suits most likely calling the shots.

I was in the preview program for Xbox 360 for almost 8+ years. Is there anyway I can join the Xbox One program as well? I loved testing out new dashboards like NXE before they were released for general public.

Crazy how you get early Halo 5 access as well. I wish I knew earlier. Even if you get in the program now, it doesn't seem like you'll be able to get in, in time for early access.

I did just get the message saying it was coming, and MCC is still installing, so it does look like ALL Preview Program members will get access, with or without MCC.

I think I'm in the programme but haven't received a message either.
When I launch the preview app it says early Halo 5 beta access is coming soon.
I don't think people are receiving messages with the codes for access yet.

My machine is pending enrolment and I haven't had the message. My friends who's machines are enrolled have had the message already

I was in preview for 360, just don't have the intrest anymore. I barely have time to play as it is.

I'd rather see MCC on dedis before this. I bought an Xbone for Halo 2, not 5.

What?

We already knew what date we would get the beta. Men in suits didn't change the date for those that paid. WTF is so wrong about this? Are you mad when Preview members get early versions of dashboard updates, or when we got to use EA access first?

Same happened here. Although I would take mind of the repercussions of giving away a code, don't give away your code.

If you by chance you get the a code message twice, it'll probably be the same code.

I'd guess that many folks in the preview program own MCC, I know that I do.

The 3 week beta is still exclusive to MCC. Nothing has changed.

Ea access is a payment sub, so it cost something either way.

Kind of a slap in the face to MCC owners that preview members will play this first.

I don't see why they couldn't have acess for preview members and MCC owners start on the same day and just cut off preview member access after 3 days.

Why are they getting it early, again?

Your logic is flawed.

It's a test of the beta so that the beta is better quality. So the beta is less like mcc.

Somehow that's bad?

Preview members are meant to test out features before they go public to make sure they work.

Well it doesn't particularly surprise me. Early access and what not is par for the course for these sorts of betas, and them going through the Preview Program seems logical. And it's for one weekend, then the only other way in is MCC I believe.

You don't need the game to be installed for it to be tied to your account btw. As soon as you purchase it or put the disc in the tray (assuming you're connected to the internet) it should connect the title to your account.

People should be happy that microsoft are letting any people play this nearly a year before release. The griping is getting so fucking annoying these days.


Yes, I know Halo MCC is a was and is still in some ways a damn disappointment but it has little actually to do with the Halo 5 beta. The guys that have been working on Halo 5 multi probably had little to do with MCC.

It's unfair on owners of the MCC, there's no other way about it. We paid money to get access to it, you get it EARLY FOR FREE.

I think other preview ppl can enrol you. I'd offer but broadband is down for the next 5 days and I have poor phone signal

I'm not saying that I have anything against a younger generation who may have grown up playing 360 games, because a lot of them didn't like Halo 4 either.

The point is, E-Sports, fast gameplay, jet packs, sounds exactly like what an out of touch executive and advertising team thinks that "the kids these days want."

That's still 3 days that MCC owners should be getting. Especially since this game has had hardly functional MP for more than half its release, and Halo 5 beta access was advertised alongside MCC.

It's still rather stupid, considering the fact that they've made it difficult to even enter the preview program, and that the only real reason to currently own MCC is for the Halo 5 beta.

I'm surprised more people aren't pissed about this. I kind of am. Is this how they reward those who've put up with 343i's shit?

It has more to do with the fact that they get it 10 days early... Also, a lot of people bought Xbox Ones for MCC.
