Xbox One Preview Members get early access to the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta

Just a warning for people who are begging for codes and those who may give them out. In the terms it says this is strictly for preview testers and if you give the codes away you will be removed from the preview program.

Just got the message. Doesn't mention anything about requiring TMCC tho.
Damn. So I may have opened it for nothing. I was holding on to it unopened just in case I wanted to sell it down the line as I have so many other games to play.
Oh well, installing it now. Doubt I would have gotten much for it anyway if and when I did decide to sell it.

I would have given u $20

For everyone asking for invites, the post says it is only for people that were in as of this morning

Why? Once you're in you can opt-in and out of preview updates if you decide buggy releases aren't for you

Ah...that sucks.
Well probably too busy playing KH2.5 anyway, but would have liked the sneak peak.

So they send you two codes and you can't give the other one away? Like the destiny beta?

On the 19th, you’ll receive a message from Xbox Live on your Xbox profile containing 2 codes you need to redeem to get into the early access for the Beta.

The first code allows you to download the Beta to your console, and the second code is a small download that grants you access. You will need to redeem both tokens on your Xbox One console or on Xbox.com to participate in the early access period for the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta. Be aware that redeeming one token will not allow you to participate; both are necessary.

Please note that these tokens are intended solely for your personal use as a Preview participant. Any attempt to sell, give away, or trade these tokens will have consequences, up to and including removal from the Preview program and exclusion from future participation.

I believe this version may only last for the two days it is running. I don't think this means all preview members get it for the full release.

I expect that the one we download will be a limited set of maps, etc. Thus the TMCC owners will have to download the beta in its entirety from Halo MCC itself.

So you didn't have to buy MCC after all? That has to suck for some..

Was there anything fancy I needed to do to remain a preview member? It's been maybe 3 weeks since my last console update, which is a long time for the program.

They stopped with the updates for the holiday season.. The one thing they've been asking is for members to answers some of the surveys and do the quests they have been adding on the Preview app.

Is there a separate app, or do you mean on the phone? The only thing I've had to download was the app on the console that you just said "Join" for the most part.

It's a new-ish app.. Has quests, surveys, area for feedback, etc .They sent it through a message, which had a link to download it.

If you missed it, you can post on the official forums and ask for one of the devs to send you the message again.

Does having the preview app mean you are part of the preview programme? Or can have the app and not actually be a part of the preview programme?

I haven't received a message so I'm guessing I'm not in :(

Before people start giving their codes away, read the actual release. There are consequences for giving away your codes.
