I buy all as well and i know your joking about yourself but your spot on. Ain't saying all Xbox only fans are innocent and there seems to be some decent PS only fans but there are quite a few of them who are vile. A bit of banter is fine but It's embarrassing the genuine hate some of them seem to have.I buy all consoles, so I'll keep my playstation heritage on this and already am grinding the pitchforks fo' your ass
Hot chips MS slides here : https://www.tomshardware.com/news/microsoft-xbox-series-x-architecture-deep-dive
VRS gains 10-30%
ML gains 3-10x performance
The rest flew over my head !

RT approximation also improves perf 3-10x. ML 3-10x is mentioned in the second to the last slide.Isn't it RT 3-10x performance?

In germany in this showcaselooks so good, where was this taken?
I wonder if XSS wasn't supposed to launch in September and something happened? Did they really want to be out of stock all the way to November on hardware?

Where were the animated backgrounds?
Curved corners to the boxes looks like the biggest stylistic change. Like the phone input integration.
It's literally in the video showcasing the dashboard with animated backgrounds ....
Is that part in the YouTube video? To be fair we saw more of Frodo than the actual dash

Yea, but you guys are Xbox gamers. I'm quite sure it'll be a different response if whatever I tell you doesn't pan out to be 100% accurate.
Dont expect games to look like the upcoming Ampere. But it is close to a 2080 Ti.Do you think the Xbox Series X will out-power most gaming PCs for years to come?
If you are talking about enthusiast gaming PCs, then no. If you are talking about any gaming PCs, then yes.
Yesss, love goth atmosphereThis looks super dark and creepy, but also mysterious and interesting. Will have to check it out as we get more info.
In other words, this demo will run on ps4, Xbox One and mobile phones. That was, after all, the whole point of nanite, right?
I was trying to make the point that this demo doesn't appear to be utilising those speeds in the way it's designed - it's still designed with the old bottlenecks in mind.
A lot of assumptions that contradicts what we know. Epic has confirmed there's no hidden loading screens, and his SSD reading speed doesn't take into account data decompression bottleneck. An article on the misconcepts about UE5 demo. Thanks to Neo_game for finding the blog.
Unreal Engine 5 demo and misconceptions...
There's been quite a few articles covering how HDDs simply can't keep up with the moment-to-moment streaming enabled by the PS5 and...hole-in-my-head.blogspot.com
The author points out that the demo is not fully utilising ssd speeds and demo should run on any pc, ps4, xbox one and even mobiles.

Epic should release UE5 tech demo on PC few months from now and then I'm sure people will test all popular SSDs, including 500MB/s.Well it is actually a known fact, it was officially stated at the very presentation by Epic that the engine will be compatible with both next and current-gen consoles, as well as mobiles and PC, like Unreal Engines always do, there were just a few clowns who spread their FUD campaign that the demo is possible only on PS5 due to it's revolutionary SSD, but that's just their own delusions, while every mentally sane persona knows that the data needs to be processed before the final image goes onto your display, and that processing power is in fact the limiting factor determining how much data you can actually utilize before the performance tanks below the targeted level. I won't be surprised if an ordinary 500MB/s SATA SSD will be more than enough for reat-time asset streaming, the IOPS and seek time difference compared to HDD is already gigantic, everything more is just a bonus.
