Anyone else having issues?

Dropping by quickly to share that Guilty Gear on the Game Pass is super awesome, and I have been genuinely surprised by how good it is.

They came back to very traditional roots of 2D fighting games with limited combos, limited number of attacks, and hits that hit very very hard, but are slow and expose you a lot. This is so refreshing after the endless series of fighting games we have been playing where everyone is basically trying to connect with a crouched low attack in order to go into an endless string of stupid combos.

Never thought that such gameplay would come from Ark System Works, people who actually made DB FighterZ which exactly what I have just described, and that ruined my enjoyment (on top of the shittiest AI ever) despite the awesome graphics.

Give it a try, I think this is the best 2D fighter available right now.

1TB storage expansion is on sale for less than $100. An extremely rare thing, I got mine last time it went under.

Nice deal for new games, but also a daily reminder you can put a standard SATA SSD (40 bucks) inside an external case (15 bucks) and play almost all backward-compatible (Xbox through Xbox One) games no problem. Honestly, too many people look over this tip and buy "Game Drives", which are slow as balls HDDs, and it's a complete waste of money.

I had no clue the 8bitdo M30 6 face button controller released on Xbox.
I have one for my Sega Genesis and PC - and now Xbox.
Has 4 bumpers unlike the other versions of it which is super nice.

Tested it with Radiant Silvergun, Strikers 1945 II, and Street Fighter 2 thru 6.
Works beautifully!

Even has a switch in the back to toggle the dpad from LS to DP - and a switch to shuffle the bumper buttons around if needed.
Possibly the best solution to a 6 face button xbox pad yet. For me, its tied with the hori 360 fighting commander (not the octa one).

A pretty fantastic sale is going on right now. Games like Robocop are 50% off and Sniper Elite V2 Remaster is only $3.49.

Some other notable ones:

Sniper Elite 4: $6
Metro Exodus: $4.50
Greedfall: Gold Edition (w/ DLC) $9.99
Telltale: Batman Season 1 $7.49
^ Season 2 also $7.49

Also, another one I wanted to share.

AC Unity keys can be bought for $2 or so on Eneba. The game has FPS boost for a rock-solid 60 FPS with the latest patched version so you don't have to rely on using the launch disc 1.00 version without any updates and play it at 60 FPS in a completely broken state (They patched FPS to 30 with patches and FPS boost is the only way to play at 60 in the most stable state on console).

Holds up really well, probably the best last 'classic' style AC game before Origins.

First time playing my Xbox in over a year and servers shit themselves tonight lmao. Oh well, I wasn't having much fun playing Tekken on this dpad anyways.

Would you mind recommending a few of those gems? Maybe something to add to the ever growing backlog.
I will try when I get home and have time tonight.

I just skimmed it and saw the NES style Bloodstained games for $5 a piece and grabbed those. Also some random FPS that I had my eye on that I've never heard of was like $2.

Punished Miku

Reagan Gorbechev $1
Lunark $10
Echo Generation $11
Close to the Sun $5
Oniken $1.50
Pumpkin Jack $6
Speed Brawl $5
Steel Rising $10
Steel Assault $7
Phantom Abyss $8.50
Gal Guardians $12

I havent played most of these lol. Just caught my eye. Maybe I exaggerated a bit lol.

I'd add Axiom Verge 1&2 bundle for $10.50
Huntdown $4
Nobody Saves the World $10
Hades $12.50

Lots of good stuff in this sale.

I thought Reagan Gorbechev would be a joke but its fun as hell. Hotline miami with dual characters and light puzzles. Made it through the first 6 levels so far. You can even position your alternate character by doors and they'll auto-attack enemies in sight. Best $1 I've spent on a game.

Also recommending Hyper Parasite. Was $1.50. Low budget Robotron style shooter but you're a parasite that can control enemies similar to how you normally pick up new weapons. Simple but fun.

What's the best way to top up gamepass before the price increase? My sub ends on aug 3 so I'm wondering if its worth to do it.

Like Punished Miku Punished Miku said, the most cost effective thing is to let yours expire, get the cheapest 3 years worth of Gold / Core codes you can find on sources like eneba.com, cdkeys.com etc, redeem them all and then buy 1 month of GPU to convert those 3 years into 2 years of GPU.

Youre lucky. Let it expire and do the core/gold conversion. Still the best way.

Huge caveat. Unless you are gamepass console at $11 or whatever. If you are doing ultimate then let it expire as adamsapple adamsapple said

Cheers guys, yeah I'd be doing ultimate because I have a good PC and also would use streaming from time to time.

Should I seek out core codes for any specific region or just US? Havent done this in a while but I remember you could mess around with VPN to get it cheaper.

You may save a few bucks with VPN but it's not like it was a year or two ago, regional prices have been shifted and much closer to each other.

You can find 12 month Core codes for $40~ on CDkeys, which is just a little bit more than what you could get via VPN last I checked from other regions like Turkey.

I'd say just use the US region codes, at most you'll lose $10~ or so by not using VPN methods.

Just realized the Yakuza games are Play Anywhere titles now. I've owned them for quite awhile on console but now they're showing in my PC library. Not sure when this happened since I don't often open the PC Xbox app but always a nice surprise when this happens.

They also just listed a couple new bundles, clearly designed to capitalize on the upcoming show. Kiwami bundle, and RPG bundle.

Does anyone know a website, or generally a list, of X360 games that are on the BC list that ran with unlocked frame-rates, which are essentially locked 60 FPS now? The FPS boost filter is not helpful looking up games like that.

I'm trying to collect as many X360 BC games like that as I can.

Currently, I know of the following that were unlocked that are unlocked:

- GTA IV and Episodes from Liberty City
- FEAR 2
- GRAW 1, 2
- The First Templar

I remember DF saying some of the Sonic games were like that.

I have no idea where you'd find a list like that. Pretty specific.
I do know of a few though (if memory serves...) :

-Metal gear rising
-MGS Peacewalker
-Call of duty (pretty sure all of them I think)
-Rage
-Doom 3
-AC Rogue (maybe other AC games too)

I looked up some more and apparently both GRAW 1 and 2 run unlocked and get locked 60 now.

That's awesome.

Unfortunately the much better R6 Vegas games are locked at 30.

Are the GRAW games any good?

I played one of them maybe more than a decade ago so can't say for sure, but they're both on sale on XBL right now, plus I can find used physical copies for each under $2 per-game so I'm probably gonna be picking them up over the weekend.

I played Rainbow Six Vegas a lot more recently, and that was pretty good.

Alright, just placed an order for a bunch of BC and other assorted games.

- GRAW 1 and 2 (locked 60 FPS now)
- Splinter Cell: Double Agent (X360 version, no 60 FPS but One X enhanced)
- FFXII Zodiac Age (Xbox ver, only console version with 60 fps)
- Alien Isolation (Xbox ver, w/FPS boost)
- Assassin's Creed1 (4K/60 via FPS boost)
- Far Cry 3 (X360 version, yes I know there is a One version, but this one has FPS Boost)
