The demo was pretty fun. Its an old school 2D action game but its just got gorgeous art and animations. Bought. Its $20.

Make sure you play around with the numerous custom items. Really well done

Does anyone know a website, or generally a list, of X360 games that are on the BC list that ran with unlocked frame-rates, which are essentially locked 60 FPS now? The FPS boost filter is not helpful looking up games like that.

I'm trying to collect as many X360 BC games like that as I can.

Currently, I know of the following that were unlocked that are unlocked:

- GTA IV and Episodes from Liberty City
- FEAR 2
- GRAW 1, 2
- The First Templar

Ohh GTA IV and episodes are unlocked now??
That's great... Wish they just announce this kind of things. But I thought that the team was done working on the backwards compatibility games.

I also been buying loads of 360 games lately.

Does any one know if it is still possible to download X-men arcade from Xbox live on series s if I purchased the game way back on 360? I don’t see it in my library

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
FYI there's a sale with almost 700 things happening right now.

Plenty of BC games in it.

The ACA Neo Geo The King of Fighters games are on sale in the MS store for $4 a pop.
These haven't gone on sale in years - maybe even 10 years(!) hah.
Yeah I noticed that. It is pretty tempting.

Atomic Heart is also down to $34. Leaving GP soon, lowest price yet.

I have a bunch in my library - must have bought them 10 years ago when they were last on sale, heh.
I filled in the gaps - neat to have.
Those ACA neogeo games used to go on sale all the time - then they just stopped.

Just some random thoughts...
Messing with some xbox game grouping and remembered the 360's KOF 98 and 2002 ultimate match are backwards compatible.
So wild having things like the full Metal Slug collection, Nam 1975, and Shock Troopers on xbox.

I remember fawning over the neogeo ads in the back of gamefan and egm - and seeing those $300+ prices for the carts.

Shock Troopers is a gem for sure. I'll have to make sure and double check all these to see that I have anything I want. I bought so many games this week already lol.

My game pass express in next month, but I don't think I will renew it. Conversion sucks now, so I think it's better to just get 1 month ultimate from time to time and clear great games on that.

Pretty happy with recent stuff being announced on Xbox, like the Marvel Collection and Lunar.

Some good deals right now as well, on Cowabunga Collection, Dead Cells and Capcom Fighting Collection.

Sonic x Shadow in October should be a lot of fun.

Really cool to see the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters make it on Xbox.
I had a feeling it would happen eventually. Patience.
Now I have (basically) the whole series on one console.

I have such vivid memories of NES FF1 - and a Nintendo Power issue that released back then with amazing custom artwork in the captions. Garland was probably the first boss I ever remember facing in an RPG. Still rememeber it like yesterday. Now this new one is like the ultimate version of that NES game - it even lets you view and fight any monster/boss all over again at any time.

The last jrpg im hoping to release on Xbox is that Star Ocean 2 remake. There's a strong chance now I would say.

In my case, I could have easily bought these collections on Steam or another platform a long time ago.
But I prefer Xbox for its livingroom console, its controller, and the fact that I am playing games on the xbox ecosystem that I bought from upwards of 20+ years ago.
I simply cannot make that last statement about Nintendo or Sony. I cannot play PS2 discs on my PS5 - I cannot play PS3 or Wii digital purchases on my PS5 or switch. Theres major pros and cons to all platforms.
I mean you cant even discuss this on the regular gaming part of this forum - the Xbox hate is off the charts. Silly stuff.

Anything HD2D is an instant buy for me, so yeah I hope they do Star Ocean. It is definitely nice to have almost the whole series in one spot. I downloaded IV last night. Was my first real RPG. On SNES I got everyone to level 99 and maxed the clock on the save, all 9s. Always will have a soft spot for that game.

What’s the best roguelike on Xbox? Don’t say hades
Depends what kind of style/gameplay you like.

I would probably say Dead Cells personally. There's a bunch of games I had a ton of fun with though.

-Brotato
-Risk of Rain 2
-Slay the Spire
-Vampire Survivors
-Streets of Rogue
-Isaac
-Hitman 3's freelancer roguelike mode
-Hades :)

Got the itch to play Dragon Age Origins last night and guess what? It's a dated nightmare on PC lol.

The UI is completely FUBAR'd on my 21:9 ultrawide. All the icons are itty bitty making it impossible to place a potion on the hotbar because the 'sweet spot' doesn't register. No UI scale in the game options either so I gotta bust out the reading glass to make out the tiny ass text. Sigh. There's a bunch of fixes floating around, but damn, I can't be arsed to deal with that stuff anymore. Sometimes you just want fire up a good ass game and play it without the hassle. Ya know?

Anyway, ended up grabbing it for $15 on Series X today and my god... that crisp ass picture... that glorious 60 FPS. Xbox BC is such a godsend.

Never played the console version of Dragon Age before. It feels way better to play with a controller IMO. Felt the same about the Baldur's Gate re-release when I played it on Switch. The controls aren't always the most intuitive, but they eventually become second nature.

Readable text btw. Such an amazing feature.

The FPS boost makes up for the lack of a resolution bump.

DA2 and Inquisition are also FPS boosted, in case you feel the need to check those out later.

A resolution bump would be ideal but 16x AF works wonders on these 360 games.

Hopefully BioWare has a DA trilogy remaster in the works. The shimmering in Inquisition on consoles was horrific. I remember thinking my Xbox One was busted.

I'm also playing .....in preparation of the latest DA Im playing all the games again.

For me Bc is bar far the most impressive stuff on series x I could save my collection and I'm even expanding it.

DA origins is so good....even after all these years the writing is pretty good and the pacing is amazing.

Did you ever played Jade empire?? That my favourite game from them, the bc is pretty good for that game. ( If you don't mind the black bars )

I've been realize that my series x is like a rpg machine ahahaha, so many old Xbox, 360 and even the one rpg games I have at the moment. My series x is a monster console for RPG single player games ahahaha
