Xbox Series X pre-orders very soon?

I think xbox will launch sooner than we think, i expect an apple style one more thing and launch it with in a week at some point. I am thinking September
That would be terrible, especially as people are economically recovering from a pandemic

True, but if they announce the release date next month it's a much easier pill to swallow than a launch a few weeks later.
True, you can already prepare your wallet for it. On the other hand if you currently don't have a job and just some savings then in November you won't have enough to buy the XSX/PS5, while now you still can. Making the assumption these people are shit at not spending money and saving as much as possible for when it's really needed.

I think Sony's marketshare is just too big, and unless they massively screw up I don't see that changing.
going into next gen its a complete reset. anybody with brain will know Sony will be market leader in sales but we never though 360 be up there with the ps3

I just feel things are different this time around. People are STILL pissed about that XB1 reveal lol.

Well
399€ ...

PS5 with disc 499€ and without disc drive 399€

But might just be a shop failure.

I hope so. This price war is ridiculous:

That video should have been 6 months long to be an accurate representation.

I think a lot of people are going to be in for a shock when prices are announced.

If they were going to drop at $399 like some people are thinking they both would have made statements like "Prices will fall in-line with previous console releases", but instead it's been:

At this point I'm guessing both are waiting for the other to break the bad news of the new $599+ console. That way the other can announce $599 and still be praised as being the more affordable choice of the two.

I hope I'm wrong, though the reactions would be pretty entertaining.

I was deadset on pre-ordering it out the gate. But both consoles let me down bigtime. Guess Ill buy one anyway since its backcompat.

DualSense 49€? DS4 has official price of 69€. There is no way that prices are official.

Which will still be the case in November

But it's not like the generation will end on 1st January 2021 and the consoles will be discontinued, many people buy the consoles throughout the years, not just during the launch window, whoever is about to buy them still within this year will do so regardless if the consoles come in September or December, and vice versa, for people who cannot afford them this year or even next year the launch month doesn't matter at all. But yeah, with all the Halo comments they made it's pretty much confirmed that XBX is coming in November anyway.

Sony market share was bigger with ps2
That's also true, but like I said, there's still a lot of taint on the Xbox brand despite all the great steps they've taken in recent years. The negative buzz surrounding Infinite doesn't help either. You know things are bad when even mainstream shit like Domino's is dumping on you lol.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still getting the Series X day 1, I just don't see MS taking the top spot from Sony this gen either.

Sony also launched a year after the competition with a significant price difference with no online ecosystem to carry over.

With any other form of technology, comparing 2020 to 2005 (where the iPod & Razer cellphones reigned supreme) would be insane, yet people like to do it with videogames for some reason.
