Xbox World 360 asks: "What game is this?"

The rail screams Goldeneye, and the other pictures certainly match the setting of the Dam level. Very cool if it does turn out to be the case, I guess Microsoft and Rare got over the legal hurdles. I would rather have Perfect Dark 64 though but that can come later.

Now here's the question: if it IS a remake of Goldeneye, would you want dual analog controls, or old school single analog controls?

Dual analog, the single stick controls have had their day. Could always put both in I guess, the original game did have a lot of control options after all.

GE was all about 1.4 (Kissy), while my friends were fumbling around trying to aim with the c-buttons, I was taking them out Turok style with the left analog.

But dual analog is a must if they're going to upgrade this game.

A bigger concern would be how much of an upgrade to the framerate and character models they end up doing. GE is borderline unplayable nowadays.

Dual analogue would be fine, as long as they keep the old weapon sets. Proximity mines <3

I always considered GE mastery the ability to stop, quickly aim for the head, and then move on.

I just don't think I'm comfortable with dual analog control in GE. It doesn't sit right with me.

If they completely rebuilt Goldeneye, I really doubt this is going to be an XBox Live Arcade game. Those pictures do not look like some sort of simplistic upgrade of the original game.

Yeah, the HUD and enemy AI looks totally revamped.

Actually, being able to run without stopping, and popping enemies in the head is where the mastery lies in Goldeneye. You can't complete all of the unlockable cheats without mastering it :)

They're just new textures. I'd go so far as to say you could not sell GE, as is, as a modern $59 game, no matter how good it looks, simply due to the sheer lack of content. The campaign can be finished in under an hour, the multiplayer is only for 4 people (if you expand this, you'd really have to change up some of the maps like Perfect Dark did), and the license is archaic.

I can see MS selling this for 1200 pts, but I'd prefer 800.

That's a snowboard. It's obviously 'board.', EA's skate.-style reinvention of SSX.

Could well be.

I really liked Skate, a snowboarding game based on it would be interesting. But why would it be a 360 exclusive?

They would have to completely change it of course, and I am not even saying it is Goldeneye, it is hard to tell much from those pictures.

The detail on the snowy part seems too high to be explorable.
So I expect it to be some kind of 2d box/sphere.

In one of the pics you can also spot some (awful) trees made with billboards.
So I don't expect to be able to get close to 'em.

All these hints seems to point toward a "room based" game.
A beat'em up could fit.

My 2 cents on Killer Instinct.

BTW a similar teaser have been made for another Rare game: Kameo.

by the way, clicked the link

isn't it the second magazine to claim "excusive" there ? or is it the same that I've already seen ?
