Yeah, I've played both 0 and Kiwami. Kiwami basically kills the AI for all but one fight as its laughably easy now. You just collect great cards and then use the strongest attack for the win. One card battle felt sorta unfair though, but that only took me 4-5 tries to win (and you only do solo fights, not bloody tournaments!)

The rng isnt even bad. You can see what they are inclined to throw and no one really stands a chance against jennifer. Hwr moves are much stronger than anyone elses. Just try to counter pick vs the opponent's stronger moves.

I'd say those are the worst parts of a LEGEND run.

Having to manually look for Mr. Shakedown (since I picked the wrong box and didn't get an Encounter Finder) is really boring. Even so it's still easily the best way to make money so this is my biggest gripe with the game.

i thought it was annoying trying to help that fool with the stadium jacket across the bridge.

Nah, the AI just counters that if you do it enough. Unless they made it seriously easier than the Japanese version (which is what I played). AI would just read your inputs (I refuse to believe otherwise!)

I'm not sure because I haven't tried but the shotgun might be the best way to do those missions on LEGEND, iirc it hits every enemy and knocks them down with a single shot.

It's hard toe explain but most of the girls are pretty weak compared to jenny. Dont even try to counter their 1 or 2 star hand but throw against their stronger ones. Usually there is a really safe pick that will decimate them at best and send you into a cheer battle at worst. Jen also has the preemptive strike that often gives a huge hp advantage right away. Also, make the maximum bet, if you can. Don't throw randomly, use strategy to play the odds against them . You can see their star level for each hand at the bottom.

Damn I wish I had money for this game. Seems like one of the truly must play titles on ps4 so far. At least for me.

The story, the mini games and atmosphere. So jelly.

Oh, and some of those bosses look fantastic, tried to stop watching too much of the game though.

Is there a way to select mini games from the start menu later?

It also helps to read the "news cast" prior to betting. Those influence the chance the fighters have of making better attacks, and if a strong girl like Momoko or Jennifer have good status then even better. It might be worth it to quit and enter till you get a good one.

Won 5 tournaments with mid-tier fighters, like Yukie, by paying attention to that.

4/5 billionaires have been DOMINATED

There's something really weird about the real estate story. All the billionaires are like "Heh. That king lost to Kiryu! Well, I'll beat him for sure!" Then said billionaire proceeds to fight me with the exact same method as all the others. Might wanna...change your strategy.

Edit: Oh shit nevermind.

Finally finished the game.

This game is legitimately one of the best games that I have ever played. I love this series.

It'll still be a great game when you've got the cash to buy it. No rush (mode) it'll wait.

The minigames aren't selectable from the main menu.

Few games are capable of invoking such a feeling, especially long games you're invested in, with great characters that just feel alive.

And yup, all of the above is basically Yakuza in a nutshell, so me and 2 of my friends who also recently finished it are also feeling pretty effin' empty.

The only other Yakuza game to truly make me feel this way was Yakuza 2.

But this fucking game man, it just..... EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER had a purpose, was given so much depth, was given a satisfying conclusion.

There are INCREDIBLY few games out there that deliver an ending as satisfying as this one.

I hope this series never ever ever dies.

I also loved the Fantasy Zone reveal, but man the game is pretty horrible. I still have fun playing Space Harrier and Outrun, but absolutely no enjoyment with Fantasy Zone. I guess it was included just so they could do that joke since it wasn't included for its quality?

Is it really bad? I never played it but it looks incredibly cute and charming.

Maybe it is because I have 0 connection with the game as I never played it as a kid? But it seems like a crappy version of Defender with fantasy looking ships/enemies. The gameplay did not hook me at all.

It was my first time with Fantasy Zone too. Damn, it's hard, but I found it interesting so I might go back and try and do a bit better.

Nope. Tried that and tried strategy. Nothing worked consistently enough to convince me otherwise. I just mashed the button to keep cycling through attacks randomly until the timer ran out, and ended up winning that way (no, really this worked as a viable strategy for me!).
