Yakuza Wars trademark filed by SEGA

The user you quoted wasn't happy with Square Enix's decision to not do anything with Sleeping Dogs IP and you said United Front Games is no more so they couldn't do anything with it

Where?

I mean, sir...I know Square owns the IP, that is how they came about with publishing it.

I do not recall ever saying "they couldn't do anything with it" For fuck sakes, I even say "who" as in which team Square would contract to do it...
Lol with who? United Front Games to my understanding isn't even in business any more.

So I'm so questioning how they'd go about it in regards to what team they'd contract and if they are even intrested in doing anything with the IP considering how it came about, it was not as if this was a ground up idea from Square as much as a opportunity that came about.

So I think you may misunderstand what I'm saying.

Well, it's certainly possible

But frankly speaking, I don't really care about this topic that much to argue, so I will just say mea culpa and leave it at that
No worries, I merely mean its more unlikely to happen based on how the game came about, but not impossible, merely more unlikely given that the team United Front Games was more passionate about it existing vs Square.

Had Square made this from the ground up and choose the team and they happen to close down, I'd have a different answer completely.

Make it an MMO you cowards. Assuming this is a mainline title, it would be the tenth game. Dragon Quest made their tenth mainline an MMO. Take the meta references to the next level.

Sounds like they are gonna make a yakuza MMO. If done right it could be sort of….. GTA : Tokyo online? Not a bad idea if true . And if so please include a virtual sega world arcade. They could even add multiplayer options to the arcade games. Have lobbies with the game itself for vs mode arcade games. 8 player Daytona when taking a break from some multiplayer yakuza mission. Or some sega rally all existing within the yakuza wars. Would be cool
