Look...we wish it was about some prequel in the 70s and 80s....but deep in our hearts, we know it will be some RTS, mobile, mini game...CLAN WARSAs in a shitty Multiplayer game OR a game set in the 70s/80s covering the old wars mentioned?

Look deep within your heart, you know this to be true.
All I'll say is I'll put 100 hours into a clan wars game because I have no self control with this series.
RTS?
That would be amazingRTS?
Nothing like moving away from that Yakuza title like going with Yakuza Wars.
would buy....day 1.I'm betting on a Sakura Wars style tactical RPG/dating sim/visual novel but with Yakuza characters. Sakura Wars is a Sega franchise.
lol god damn! You right to cover all grounds on thisplease :
no GAAS
no mobile
no musou
Oh no, I forgot that was an option! Musous are the filler genre of choice for some Japanese devs.no musou

To be fair sometimes they aren't bad. I liked the Persona 5 one as well as DQ 1&2.Oh no, I forgot that was an option! Musous are the filler genre of choice for some Japanese devs.
Dammit. Fuck Square Enix for not continuing Sleeping Dogs. Many years ago Square Enix had a game called Triad Wars, which was a spinoff to Sleeping Dogs and players battled each other as different crime gangs on an open-world map.
Triad Wars
Yakuza Wars
Maybe the similarity ends here with the Wars title, but what if not? Dream big gentlemen.
Lol with who? United Front Games to my understanding isn't even in business any more.Dammit. Fuck Square Enix for not continuing Sleeping Dogs.
Oh, didn't know about that lolLol with who? United Front Games to my understanding isn't even in business any more.
That whole deal came about for Square to just publish
Not exactly. Originally this game was a part of True Crime series, but Square didn't cared about that IP and rebranded it as its own thing when they picked it up from Activision. To my understanding they still own that IP and can do whatever they wish with it, even without United Front Games involvementLol with who? What if is a mobile game?![]()
I don't care what kinda game it is. I'm in

The user you quoted wasn't happy with Square Enix's decision to not do anything with Sleeping Dogs IP and you said United Front Games is no more so they couldn't do anything with it which is not true as if they really wanted to they could either form a new studio and hire formers devs, or contract someone else to work on that brand. They didn't as they probably thought it wouldn't sell as much as they wanted? Not exactly what?
All I'm saying is United Front Games doesn't exist to do the game, Square came about merely to publisher, they don't own the team and I even state "by who" as in, WHO WOULD SQUARE contract to do some sequel or something.
So yes, I know Square owns the IP, I was never debating any of that btw.
So when I'm saying by who, I mean who would they contract as the team that originally did it, no longer exist and this IP was not started from Square ground up, as in Square internally wanted it and created it or something, they picked it up and salvaged it. With deals like that (sorta like Rockstar and LA Noire)
its hard to see HOW such a series continue because some of those elements are out of the hands of the publisher, like original team and they didn't come up with the concept internally, but took it over from another publisher.
So those types of deals can be tricky as they now need to find a new team and who knows if they even want to be in that business of making that IP in the first place, so its hard to tell with deals like this.
