That's not accurate at all. Currys, Argos and GAME all have prominent Xbox displays.

I said "Usually", not "always".

As for GAME, I wouldn't class single rack in the back corner as "prominent".

Most GAME stores replaced their Xbox sections with LEGO last year.

What did Xbox expect when they have no games on the shelves, the very few retail ones that come out are incomplete (either a launcher of half the content), they troll their own users (only 4) and sell all their games on the other console? To have companies having their consoles on the shelves? For what? Collect dust? Is over for them. I'm extremely surprised Phil hasn't been fired or left on his own. Must be an ego thing. He singlehandlely destroyed the brand.

Microsoft are doing well as a third party publisher on PlayStation and Steam.

Satya Nadella is obviously happy with this.

But that's the point, if they are still prominently displayed in the three biggest physical retailers for games/ consoles in the UK, then it's not "usual" at all, is it? 🤷‍♂️

My local GAME store still has a prominent Xbox display, yes. The same is true for Currys and Argos.

PS5 hasn't exactly knocking it out of the park game release-wise. If it wasn't for MS, Sony would have just a few games all year. (Astrobot, Death Stranding 2, Ghost of Yotei)
Sony has been pathetic this whole generation, but we know the reason for it. MS didn't exactly try to be all over gaas, so they really have no excuses.

Anecdotally, when I was in the Azores( Portugal) a few weeks ago I visited Worton's and Radio Popular( closest comparison would be like Best buy). Wortons had a shelf maybe 3 feet wide at most with physical copies of FIFA, COD, and a few third party titles like Assassin's Creed, first/third party controllers but no consoles whatsoever. Radio Popular had a small display with Gamepass cards, a few third party game codes and some third party controllers, no consoles or physical games. Another electronic place in Ponta Delgada, Comforto, didn't have a single Xbox branded item for sale. Granted the Azores is a remote set of islands so I don't know if that's similar to mainland Europe and/or Portugal. Naturally all of those aforementioned stores had prominent Playstation and Nintendo sections.
