I use outlook/live/hotmail, my old school gmail, and proton. Use proton if you're worried about privacy. MS and Google both work with the chinese government.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Switched from gmail to protonmail about 2 years ago, haven't looked back since

costs a little bit, but it's not too bad

I’m not a fan of browser based gmail. But I do use it sometimes. Gmail through outlook is my preferred email.

Zero benefit and tons of cons, including a very likely chance of losing access to it one day.

good to know, thanks

Gmail was a lot better for me years back as it was smooth and clutter free.

I must had got onto a mailing list because suddenly I got shitloads of spam. Most of it goes to the spam section so it's smart enough to to know, but I still get some trickling into my inbox or promotion box.

Does Proton or any specialized email service have zero spam? Or is it something you got to live with if your email address is spammed out on the net no matter which service you use?

I love Gmail but recently noticed I’m reaching the storage limit.
I also iCloud and forward all my gmail emails to it, but I find the overall experience not as refined as Gmail, often the wrong emails would get filtered into the spam folder.

I still use my original Hotmail account through the outlook app. But the only email I get is for Amazon or other online shopping orders so it really doesn't matter.

Protonmail of course. I have the premium subscription so I can use multiple pm.me domain addresses for the same inbox. Love it!

That has nothing to do with what I posted.
Yes, it does. Microsoft will share your details with the Chinese government as well as ANY OTHER government that goes through courts and gets a legal verdict. Same goes for Proton, they are more secure than Gmail for sure but their privacy pitch is a marketing scheme.

ISP e-mails are the worst, if you move or get another u are sol, also IPS's often tend to change e-mail addresses.

By far the best is gmail, then outlook i would say.

I use Gmail, Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird. At the same time, all for a different email address 😂.

(I have something like 6 different email adresses and of all them receive new messages every day or two)

Mail through my own domain (since 1999).
~€150-200/year for the domain and mailhost (unlimited mail addressees and unlimited aliases).

All web based mail is bad. Dedicated client is always better.

I try to steer clear of Alphabet but keep one for a number of reasons. I’ve experienced whole corporations blocking emails from nearly everything but Gmail.

Is proton taking funds from the US government and then working with the Chinese military to create AI to track its citizens and eventually take the commanding heights of the new digital world?
