You have to order an absolutely absurd AAAA game - what do you tell them to make?

Wouldn't mind a new AAAAA Mass Effect trilogy, but with all original crew.

Drool GIF by Model Plate

oh 'absurd' I wouldn't play it so don't matter. Mass effect is absurd enough for me.

A smash bros game, with a full on single player game crafted for every single character, made by their own main studios with their own engines (so no smash character to say snake, he is just in another metal gear solid within the game), to just be part of the game making the biggest collab ever look small in comparizon.
That would require AAAAA or AAAAAAAAAA budget though!

I would do a Borderlands like level design for a Chris Clairmont styled 60 hour open world RPG X-Men game. Its essentially AAAA Borderlands but you pick between 12 different playable X-Men. With Regions like Genoshia, The Savage Land, Mojos dimension, Vancouver snowy lab area, Astriod M, etc etc.

I would create a real civilisation, with real nations, real economies, central banks, transport, education, immigration, trade deals, stock markets, press blunders etc. I want to know what it would be like to really run a country. I want to see if I could turn the UK economy around, reverse the shrinking population of South Korea, break the back of the 2 party system in the US. All options on the table, based on real world data!

Halo 4...

retcon every single thing 343 Industries ever did. act like Halo Reach was the last Halo game that came out, nothing after Halo 3 has yet been written.

no sprint, no clamber, ADS only with weapons that make sense.
linear campaign with large level design and a varied sandbox.
split screen coop, split screen local MP, split screen online MP, LAN support, no MTX, no battlepass, no GaaS design of any kind.
everything available on launch, no weird delayed releases of certain modes or forge... OR FUCKING COOP like Infinite did...
all game modes ever seen in Halo 1-3 and Reach available day 1.
all MP maps from those games available day 1, plus new maps of course.
improved controls with actual modern stick aiming and modern settings, reaction curves, bonus speed, aim acceleration off by default, no axial deadzone... not even as an option... lile wtf?...

A barbie game with the production value of GTA6, open-world, cutscenes, gameplay (kid friendly of course) I'd like to know what the response would be.

VR dating simulator tetris where blocks are AAA celebrities and you have to talk them to get closer to each other and make the whole row blow up.

Some 3D action game very traditional, arcady and hermetic, probably with Mikami as game director. I would make sure the graphics are absolutely stunning, the best of the best to lure the casuals and journalists, and then make them rage and complain the game is too difficult and they feel left out.

It would only get 80 on metacritic because the story and characters are cheesy or some shit like that, and there is no lame exploration it's only combats, so they would say the level-design suck and it's not goty material.

I tell them to make a trailer for the next show, then i close the studio, fire them all, fire some more, but not myself. 🖕

Our financial report looks alot better now.

Dead by Daylight type of game but in DC universe. Civilians trying to survive the bad guys from DC (or Marvel). Or bad guys trying to escape the heroes.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuta and Bolts sequel, but in a sci-fi themed world. The focus would be on building bigger and better space ships, rovers, and mechs, and the construction tools would allow for parts and segments to be made up of smaller parts (ie, an entire prefabricated mech leg can be attached anywhere, but it can also take multiple hits and show destruction as plates and pieces are knocked off).

Then it turns into wacky No Man's Sky.

Then, after completing the main quest and finding the doodad at the center of the universe or whatever, you crash onto a planet, losing all your scifi gear, and it becomes a regular ol' Banjo Kazooie sequel, with top notch platforming.

AAAA budget; 1.2 million total sales.

I'd make a UE5 graphic game that's heavily modded so that it barely runs in even a 5090 (but of course port it to the Xbox Series S as well as other consoles). The game would be licensed with all David Bowie music about a dog that's made of diamonds. The ray tracing would be intense, with each diamond doing its own thing and tracing the rays off of another diamond and so on.

It would play like Knack in it's genericness and a deep story from Kojima. You'll hide in boxes at a dog pound and try to escape. The dog catcher known as the Big Boss will chase you with a net. Buy the digital deluxe edition and you'll get a purple net that means absolutely nothing.

To make sure its AAAA, it'll be the first live service single player game that's cancelled days after release.

Scarlet Johansson will voice act a cat, poorly (as usual given her acting talent), and the game will be significantly over budget. I'll also get Troy Baker to play the Diamond Dog as David Bowie. Well then AI over his voice with a David Bowie AI model.

It'll have tons of collectibles so you'll never want to finish it.

Did I win a loan, OP?
Excellent

A third person Halo spin off, with destructive environments superior to that of the likes of Red Faction Guerrilla

X-Men action RPG: Custom character fully voiced, choose abilities and dialogue choices . Align with Xavier (paragon) or Magneto (Renegade).

Guerrilla Games Remake Warhawk PS3

Sleeping Dogs 2 with an enormous living world, little details noticeable when on foot and tons of new licensed songs would be great. I wouldn't want the actual gameplay to change, it was great.

As I'm watching Mission: Impossible series let's make it some kind of M:I game aka Tom Cruise runing towards things
Anyway actually I was already wondering why the hell is there no game franchise built around this series. It would lend itself perfectly for some great set piece action game, thinking something like Uncharted / Splinter Cell style action stealth

"Game Journalism Story" by Kairosoft

ss_0d8784879a94d8e05aac1566be1fca73250c02e1.600x338.jpg

You have to manage a game journalism business. Starting in the 80s, you have to print magazines with reviews and guides, get game advertisment deals and deal with fans letters and so on. By the end of the game, you'll have to manage a gaming news webpage plus it's social media and all that, barely talking about videogames and instead focusing on social politics and all that crap. You beat the game once you manage to replace all the staff with AI, but only if you do so before becoming obsolete.

I would create a game which is basically a virtual version of our world, kind of like Microsoft flight simulator, but think GTA gameplay. With live service and online, it'll be the ultimate 'second life'

An MMO that actually feels like a real world.

The way you accomplish this is by appealing to all kinds of players. And i dont mean like they do now where that only means something for solo players, something for collectors etc. Ultimately you still have to like a very specific type of game.

With unlimited resources, manpower and time, i would just make a world, and everyone would be part of the world, but the world would be full of actual feature complete games in it's own right. Like fighting games? Go the the arena and play the fighting game, like racing games? go to the racing tracks and play our racing sim, arcade racer, or kart game. Like farm games? Just play that, just want to be a merchant? There is an entire game for you too. Those wouldn't be lite versions of said game types. They all be full games, with multiple game modes, ranked systems etc. You would only install the parts you want to play. You would earn currency in all those games that you could then spend in the 'outside' world. On your character, land, housing, whatever.
Isn't that just real life?

Just Cause 5 where not only is everything destructible, but they also model everything in the interiors with reactive physics, too. The gunplay should be on par with COD and the audio on par with Battlefield. Graphics like GTA VI and the explosions have never looked more satisfying. All cutscenes should remain skippable and the goofy tone can stay.

The moment-to-moment gameplay of JC3 is so good it wouldn't need much refinement.

Now that MS seem to have killed Forza Motorsport, EA seems to have killed Need for Speed and as Ubisoft continues restructuring may also kill The Crew and other arcade racers, I'd make a big ass Sony crossover arcade racer mixed with PS Home 2.0, basically a PlayStation racing themed 'metaverse':
  • Open world where you interact with other players, customize your pilot, vehicle, house or garage and obviously to to racing tracks to play in races plus play non-racing random social activities like going to museums or music concerts. Example: there could be a virtual PS racers museum to visit. There could be a cinema or tv at your home to watch with friends stuff like the SoP or PS Production movies like Gran Turismo (or non-racing themed ones), or licensed car themed shows like Pimp My Ride, Top Gear or similar
  • Races would include as base all the main features and modes from most iconic --mostly arcade- racing games, mostly Wipeout, Motorstorm, CTR, Ridge Racers (PSP), Rollcage, Gran Turismo, Twisted Metal or Jet Moto. But each cup / tournament would be limited to the features/rules of a specific series or game (or game's game mode)
  • In these cups/tournaments you'd be able to play against CPU, against friends or online against random people of your same level. There would be weekly country/state level online tournaments for the best players of the region, earning points because the best ones would participate in monthly continental tournaments and quarterly World Cup classifications for a yearly -at EVO- World Cup finals
  • Content would include customization items (character or vehicle parts) to create iconic characters or vehicles from most PS -mostly arcade, not limited to Sony ones- racing series, but also non-racing iconic vehicles (you could see Killzone helgasts in a ship, or Helldiver in a Heldivers 2 car, a Destiny character in a Sparrow, etc.
  • There would be prefedined teams based on iconic PS IPs, plus guest IPs as could be car brands like Honda, eSports teams, or car themed tv shows or movies, and players would also be able to create their own teams
  • Art style would target an all ages audience with an Astro Bot cute aesthetic somewhere in the middle of realistic and cartoon, and would be set in a near futuristic setting to more or less fit games set in current days and futuristic games
  • Players not interested in racing like mostly female audience would have in addition to the social stuff, non-racing activities like to create characters, vehicles, houses, tracks or garages that could trade to other players for game currency, plus The Sims/Animal Crossing like features like to have your farm with veggies or animals that could also be traded to get game currency (also earned in races) or dating sim stuff with NPCs so diverse that would even include the GIANT ENEMY CRAB from Genji 2

A smash bros game, with a full on single player game crafted for every single character, made by their own main studios with their own engines (so no smash character to say snake, he is just in another metal gear solid within the game), to just be part of the game making the biggest collab ever look small in comparizon.

I can totally see you are a true gamer

Something bit like Civ but it would be AAAAA

A barbie game with the production value of GTA6, open-world, cutscenes, gameplay (kid friendly of course) I'd like to know what the response would be.

It would literally be a fleshed out version of this:

But hey... if we are going with Mattel...

AAAA budget HotWheels C64 remake. Featuring every single HotWheels car ever made.

A massive, ultra realistic MMORPG set in the world of Game of Thrones.
The closest you're getting is Game of thrones: Kingsroad. Obviously not ultra-realistic but kind of like witcher 3 lite. Trust me, it's not that bad, and you can explore almost all of westoros. Download the steam version.

Have Rockstar bring back Manhunt with an AO-rated PS2 (4:3 for increased verticality) prequel to the first Manhunt game.
The same format as the original Manhunt with a different protagonist and no modern firearms this time around.
It would be based on a Valiant video made by Starkweather (Brian Cox) prior to the events in Manhunt.
"Manhunt: Black" a black serial killer spared from Death Row would plow through a series of violent gangs made up of people willing to pay money for a chance to kill him - Civil War re-enactors, COPS, family members of his murder victims, neo-nazis and the like.
DualSense feedback will make it even more immersive than the original.

Marketing guy: "If it's an Absolutely Absurd AAAA game, then surely it's an AAAAAA game."
