I was on a trip last week in Boston and I kept thinking to myself "God I wish there was a Tim Hortons around here". All I kept seeing was Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks, erk.

So how about you, ever been on a trip and wishing one of your favorite restaurant/franchise was over there?

ALL HAIL THE TIM!

Wendy's buyout hasn't affected anything yet, I'd bet most people don't even know about it after all these years. Nothing comes close to Tim Hortons in the states but maybe since Wendy bought them we could see some Tims down there someday? We never know.

Oh but it has.
Just to name a couple:
The doughnuts are no longer fresh. THey're premade, then frozen then shipped to stores.
The tea used to be any-size you wanted and now they charge for the cup size.

Hmm, the Tim Hortons in my town (I think 8 in a town with a population of 35 000) make their stuff fresh. What bothers me is that when they wanted to standardize the donut sizes they made them all smaller. The sizes of both donuts and drinks have been going down over the past several years. I remember when a medium coffee used to be the same size as a large is now. Oh well, they still have some of the best coffee IMO.

I'm not much of a fan of coffee or donuts, but Tim's is still good stuff.

I'm also thinking of all those folks in the Gaming Forum wishing there was a Fry's near them. Heh.

The donuts at the Tims near my place are made fresh as well, I know the guy who makes them during the overnight shift.

The only White Castle I can get in San Diego is in my local frozen food section; Harold & Kumar can fuck right off.

ps I have always wanted to go to a Tim Horton's

Some of the best memories I have of a former relationship are of eating delicious Scholtsky's sandwiches in between awkward conversations and seeing awful movies.
