Your next system purchase?

Xbox 360 - Ridge Racer 6, PGR3, Kameo and Senko no Ronde makes me want one bad.. gonna wait for a price drop though.

Revolution - Definitely getting Rev at some point since I love Nintendo's games.

PS3 - Doesn't excite me much at the moment but Im sure it will get the games.

I'll probably get all next gen consoles but none at launch.

I'm getting a 360 at launch. After that, there's uncertainty.

Unless I can get a good deal on a PS3 when it's launched, I'll wait for a price drop to get it. In the meantime, there's a chance the DS could become appealing w/ a lower price and some more killer apps.

Just got a DS.

I'll be getting an Xbox360 near launch.
I'll also be getting a Revolution on launch day.

ps3? don't really care about it much.

-PS3 about time of first price drop, FFXIII release or before I can't wait any longer.... whichevevr happens first.
-Revolution after at least 5 awesome games come out for it and as long as it's no more than 200US

Dunno.. my complete lack of willpower together with my little brother's tastes has meant that in my home there is a PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, Dreamcast, PSP, and GBA SP. But all of those, except the PSP, were deep into their life-cycle and dirt cheap by the time I got them, compared with their initial prices.

My next system purchase may be a TurboDuo or a Saturn or something.. it probably won't be anything next-gen.

I'll probably pick up a Revolution if the controller doesn't have any annoying quirks, and there's launch titles worth getting. And possibly a GBA SP2 around Christmas.

Aside from that, I can't afford an Xbox 360 or PS3. I need to save money for college. Maybe if I get a job. =\

I work, therefore I buy. Every system that comes out basically. Even if I haven't bought a game for it since launch (PSP).

Revolution probably.

360 is too expensive and I'd imagine the PS3 would be similar.

If the Rev debuts at $249 and the PS3 at $299, I'll pick up the PS3 next.

Otherwise, I'll wait for some pricedrops or good deals.

maybe an xbox or ps2 with a few games if I can scrounge up the cash, but as far as next gen goes, it would be the rev... all the way in 07 :(

Gizmondo
Phantom
Turbo Duo
White PSP
DS-SP

Next Holiday season either a PS3 or Xbox 360 whichever has the games I want to play

Next price drop either the PS3 or Xbox 360, whichever one I didn't get over the holiday

Revolution when it drops way down in price and only if there happen to be a few games that don't use the motion wand thing and instead work like a normal game controller.

360 - launch day with PGR and Kameo!

US PS3 - perhaps. Depends on cost of importing one and whether I can find a (safe!) step down capable of controlling this bitch

Revolution - hmm. Maybe. I would have done but now I'm not so sure. Depends on what I think of it when I play on one

Other hardware for me though:

New 32" widescreen CRT TV
Maybe an upgraded amplifier...Denon 1902 perhaps?
Maybe some new front speakers

xdude 360 at launch. possibly a second psp if i can't run homebrew and play makaimura on the same machine. ps3 whenever it comes out.

Depends when Rev and PS3 launch.

I feel like both will come out in the US Holiday season of 2006, despite all they say.

Rev at launch, PS3 when I can convince people to get it for me during the Holiday season. So both in 2006.

I can only afford on next gen console next year and it's between the PS3 and 360. So far the PS3 has the edge if only because of MS' mediocre showings and the lack of anything appealing in their launch lineup. The price of the console and the games will be a factor too as well as the final controller design. However games are what matter at the end of the day and so far it matches up like this:

Tekken > DOA
DMC4 > Ninja Gaiden 2 (slightly)
Tenchu > MGS4
Gundam FPS > Gundam 3rd Person Game

Then on 360 I'm interested in:

Mass Effect, Too Human, Ridge Racer 6, Moto GP, Enchant Arm, Blue Dragon, Lost Odysee, Halo 3 and Shadowrun

For PS3 it goes like this:

Warhawk, Gradius

But that's just goin from IGN's lists of loosely confirmed titles in reality each console probably has a lot more to offer it's just a question of when we see it, it's gonna be a long wait. So far I'd give the edge to PS3 only cause ignorance is bliss and a lot is riding on 360's post launch games even though I'll get both eventually I'll get the better console first.

My next system purchase won't be til 2007 and I have no idea which/what order it'll happen in y et.

Most likely a Dreamcast. I don't have the cash for next gen at the moment, so I will go back and play some of the classics that I missed over the years.

I was weak today, just preordered a 360. Damn!

Was a good deal at TRU, couldn't resist. And guess what, I was number 4 on that list :lol

I preordered it with Kameo and PGR3.

European Xbox 360

I promised myself not buying again a system in Europe, but... well, I´m weak, it will be nice to have at least one system apart of the PC that I can buy games just going to the shop. I doubt Microsoft will do any dumb move like capping the system here like they did with Xbox. Another factors are the global launch, the not bad politic of releases in Europe of Microsoft and that Arcade looks very interesting, so I want a system I can put online without problem.

White PSP

White DS

GPX2 (depending of first months)

Japanese PS3

Japanese Revolution

American PS3 (possibly)

Japanese Xbox 360 (I doubt it, just will happen if the first year of life shows a very interesting japanese content that takes too long to arrive overseas).

It will definately be a Playstation 3, but probably not at launch. Aside from Mistwalker and a potential Ninja Gaiden 2, there isn't a single title on the 360 that interests me. I bought the PS2 and Xbox right around launch, so it will feel odd not being there on day one, but I've got plenty of games to keep me occupied until we start seeing next-gen price drops.

QFSB, but I am considering a 360 too, just not at launch.

Depending on what's localized, I may end up purchasing a PSP sometime next year.

Otherwise, I'll probably hold off on next gen until the PS3 and Revoultion come out. Depending on PS3's price, I might get the Revo first and wait for Sony's first price drop.

Or...DS SP (if that ever happens)

You must be rich.

Are there any die hard Nintendo fans not picking up REV. next year? So far, I'm out, but I have to see games like Mario and Zelda. if they focus too much on the controller's mechanics, then it'll just be PS3 for me.

Xbox 360 at european launch, my only game I'm really anticipating is Kameo, but there will be Sonic and I hope for Banjo :D.
Revolution is a Must-Have at launch
Sega Saturn: I need one because of Nights
Sega Master System: just to have every Sega System ever produced (will be getting Mega Drive for free)
PSP: never
PS3: highly unlikely

PS3 of course. Xbox 360 maybe at launch--depends on my money situation and if I can get one having not played EB/Gamestop's anal-rape simulator (read: pre-order or DIIEEEE). The two DS games that some are going batshit about interest me (moreso Phoenix Wright than Trauma Center), but there's no way I'm shelling out $100 or more for a DS. I'd rather see a next-gen console version of either game (in my mind, the stylus isn't necessary to enjoy the game and isn't why I'm attracted to the game anyway).

And finally, Revolution--well, I still have a hearty chuckle when I get a mental image of the fanboys cheering with rabid fervor at every new Nintendo offering. Revolution is either the most inane product ever conceived (I'm voting for this one) or it's the most brilliant product ever conceived. Either way, I think DS's success (despite being massively underpowered compared to PSP) and Gamecube's success (despite being massively---hey, this sounds familiar) shows that no matter what happens with Revolution, Nintendo has enough of a dedicated (crazy?) customer base that they will sell enough to make a continued profit--especially considering that they have indicated their continued quest to make hardware for as cheap as possible. So no, I will not be buying one of those. :)

And as for what I currently own: PC, PSP, PS2, Xbox (might actually buy a used Gamecube to play Twilight Princess as, IMHO, it's the first real 3D "Zelda" game).

Probably a DS.

Not even considering any launch nextgen purchases. I have the impulse to, no doubt, but I just can't consider it to be the smart thing to do.
