Your next system purchase?

I think DS's success (despite being massively underpowered compared to PSP) and Gamecube's success (despite being massively---hey, this sounds familiar)
Compared to what is GameCube "massively underpowered"?

You must be rich.

Nah, but at this point of my life I have not to care of almost anything and have a nice pay, so that means I have a lot of avalaible money.

Being my work writing about games, would be inexcusable not spending that money on videogames, don´t you think ;)

I see :)

backlit SP soon

GC maybe when its $49, depends on how backwards compatibility is on the Rev

PS3 maybe late 2007 to 2008 and has to be under $200

X360 -> PS3 -> Revolution

I'm guessing they will be released in that order. I don't forsee any other consoles or portables being released that warrent a purchase in the near future aside from the Atari Flashback 3 (OH YEAH).

My first purchase is going to be a DS. I never thought I would have to buy one, since the games just weren't 'my thing'. But with releases like Trauma Center, Phoenix Wright, Meteos and Advance Wars. I just have to get the DS, otherwise I'll regret it.. And that's never good.

But iPod Nano is my highest priority right now :)

You're supposed to be a bachelor for life. Don't let Trillian tie you down.

I've thought about applying some bistro mathematics and put the 360 in plain sight without saying anything, and hoping she wouldn't notice. Unfortunately I don't think a 360 in the living room is absurd enough for it to disappear.

Requested the 22nd and 23rd off from work. Preordered a 360 bundle from Gamestop which will include DOA4, PGR3, PDZ, Kameo, Call of Duty 2. Will also get NBA 2K6 & Madden 06 with some trade-ins....yup, real fucking excited.

My current computer is slow and pretty useless for what I use it for.

I have a AMD K6-2 500 mhz with 256 mb RAM and 32 mb Geforce 2MX.
So I'll probably spend my money on a PC instead of a X360.

Honestly, probably none of them. I've gotten pretty burned out on gaming.
I can almost relate to this.

Nothing announced for the PS3 or 360 interests me. Almost everything's the same as what we already have but with better visuals.

I'm curious to see what Nintendo has planned for the Revolution, but innovation in itself doesn't make games good. (Nor does lack of innovation necessarily mean I won't like 'em; my two favorite games released this year, God of War and Psychonauts, don't do anything new, but they do everything better than all games that came before them.)

I'll probably buy a PS3 anyway just because my PlayStation and PS2 game collections are frikken huge.

I want to get a DS. After that, maybe a PS3 if I can afford one, and then a Revolution if the games are good. I would have liked to win a 360.

Revolution at launch.

PS3, when Gradius VI comes out. :D Just kidding, probably late 2008, should be cheap, then. Must ensure that I don't miss the big G in the meantime, though.
