These are probably the ones I watch the most out of the gaming channels.

In enjoy watching essay content or stuff that borders on documentaries. Especially about older games, so Whitelight and Reycevick are my favorite creators in this space.

I also love watching retro stuff from Nostalgia Nerd and Speedrunning History from Summoning Salt

Where's Sseth?

I am a big fan of:

Majuular
Dungeon Chill
Grimbeard
Mandalore Gaming
Avalanche Reviews

They do retrospective videos on specific games or series.

Edit: Forgot Civvie 11 and Manlybadasshero. Also Whang but he does gaming things once in a blue moon and mostly about the weird controversies and classic gaming rumors.

My regulars are,

VG Esoterica
Majuular
DungeonChill
Hungry Goriya
AVGN
Happy Console Gamer
F_T_B(underrated and low output but very well researched info on gaming history)
Physical Paradise(formerly from Switch Watch now solo) nice info on upcoming releases and reviews on all sorts of stuff with a bit of humor.
Import Gaming FTW(JimmyHapa rules!)
ScouterVee(like minded soul who makes funny vids with points I agree with)
with my current favorite being the Basement Brothers.

I do follow plenty of others for news and info and occasional impressions. Noisy Pixel, Sex Positive Gaming, Mr.Frog (mr_frog_reviews), Vara Dark, Romanian Vee(and his other channel), Avalanche Reviews and I'm sure tons more I forgot.

I like this gaming compilation channel call gamingsprout.

This is my personal favourite upload, especially at 1:20

Earlier in this topic I posted a long list that I have since removed because I unsubbed from all those accounts because I was really tired of their constant negativity in my inbox due to their never ending rage bait culture war BS. Further quotes above will show what those users were that I am no longer subbed to. Even if they are right, I do not need all that negativity on a daily basis from people like vera dark, melonie mac, and endymion. Been under too much stress lately due to a horribly botched medical situation. Now I find myself watching Mario related content on youtube like Dashiegames Mario Maker playlist.

I guess I'm more casual than others. I don't recognize half the channels being listed here. I sub to Gameranx for their previews and overviews of monthly game releases. Occasionally, I'll watch reviews from Skill Up, Worth a Buy, or random others. I watch some of the anti-woke Youtubers, mostly for entertainment, and try not to overdo it. But that's about it.

Mainly retro stuff, LGR, Nostalgia Nerd and the like. Worth a Buy for reviews, Also recently found this guy who goes over ancient UK tv shows, his series on Gamesmaster is absolutely hilarious:

I mostly follow Switch and PlayStation-related content as those are the platforms I'm most heavily invested in. Nintendo Life, Switch Up, Player Essence and Mystic usually covers most of that. Then I follow Spawn Wave for gaming news, Digital Foundry for tech reviews, Fextralife for my RPG fix and Sega Lord X for all things Sega (and other stuff too.) I also follow some other content creators who often delves into retro related stuff from PS1 and onwards.

Very little, a lot of people change tact once monetisation comes into play and makes the “content” less enjoyable. Constant interruptions about hitting the like button, “dogfarts76 with the ten dollars says” , obnoxious advertising, too many fakes .

Imperial Knowledge for random Elder Scrolls lore. Mickey D for my Daggerfall needs. Bacon for those Oblivion npc type moments.

Marsh for Megami Tensei and obscure Japanese indie games.

Sseth for some funny stuff usually about older games or obscure indie steam games.

Shoddycast for Fallout Lore. Sadly, they retired the story teller shows. Usually just watch French Tomahawk now for some weird FO4 builds in Survival.

I used to watch this Sims 4 channel where he posts challenges. I’m not sure if it’s still there.

I used to also watch Nitro Rad. Learned a bunch of weird and obscure indie games from him as well as old games that weren’t mainstream. He also plays them on original hardware.

Bawkbasoup on anything Silent Hill or Resident Evil related. Used to watch CarcinogenSDA on those but I find Bawk streams more so I watch him more often. I still watch Carci though but usually it’s for the speed run strats or no damage runs. Bawk is more casual while Carci is more methodical and thought out.

There’s probably more but those are the ones at the top of my head.

Here's my list and roughly what their content is

Majuular - Retrospective RPGs mostly
Dungeon Chill - Retrospective Japanese Horror
Grimbeard - Retrospective Cult Classic games
Mandalore Gaming - Retrospective Grab bag of RTS, Adventure, etc
Avalanche Reviews- Retrospective Survival Horror
Civvie 11 - Retrospective FPS and Indie Boomer Shooters
Manlybadasshero - Indie
Fleekazoid - Madness
Sseth Tzeentach - Sheer Fucking Madness

Edit, crap I already posted in this thread... ehhh I'll leave it up cause all these content creators deserve it.

You just listed all the channels I'm subscribed to lol.

Check out Running Shine, you'll love it.

I don't care about games themselves but hardware repairing stuff, especially retro consoles so I watch the Retro Channel and a few others. Also, HBomberguy (although he's not usually about gaming). From time to time I get suggested something about gaming (say, Summoning Salt or whatever his nick is) and I might watch it for a while.

Quick Look at my subs

4amlaundry (Japanese game hunting)
Avalanche Reviews
BBKDRAGOON
Gingy
Gmanlives
GVMERS
Jackfrags
KodywithaK (game hunting)
Liamtriforce
Mystic
Neverknowsbest (amazing long form stuff like the history of RPGs)
Nick930
NitroRad
OddTinkering (technically not only games but is restoration videos that aren’t fake and does a lot of consoles)
RagnarRox
RoflWaffle (Racing games but mostly GT)
Scott The Woz and his other two channels
Spawnpoiint
The Act Man
Thor High Heels
Ultraviolet
Whitelight
In Futon. (In Japanese but it’s relaxing and watching her play Boku no Natsuyasumi helped with my Japanese)

There’s a few others that I either don’t watch a ton or don’t sub to and simply search for intermittently.

. EDIT: I unsubbed from many of the youtubers I was subbed to because I was tired of the constant negativity that came from their culture war BS. Further quotes below will show who I USED to be subbed to as of recently, but no longer am.
Wait how is Liamtriforce and NitroRad negative? They are some of the most positive YouTubers I can think of.

I don’t see myself ever un-subbing.
