Star Citizen is a bad example, wonder why they have trouble finishing anything, the script can change at any time of developement, i don't see why anyone should record multiple audio files thru the process of still figuring out how the story will unfold (additional cost), I would understand if it was motion capture but voice acting usually is the last part of developement.
(excuse my eng, not a native speaker)
voice acting usually is the last part of development.
But we already had dungeons at homeDid they add dungeons this time?
Yeah, so exciting.Durability complainers are a vast minority. The rest can be improved. Durability has to stay as it is, because it's one of the best and most important design features in BotW, since it forces/motivates the player to actually go explore and makes finding new weapons meaningful/exciting, because the player simply needs them.
NO, Majora's mask is the sequel of ocarina of time.Is this the first time they do a direct sequel to a Zelda game?
Love breath of the wild but left over dlc sounds like a nightmare, a better fit is a Majora's Mask version of breath of the wild, I'm not sure you can sell dlc as a full game to fans but they'll get away with it, gamers accept anything these days.
First post best post, shut the thread down lmao. They finished their whole three sentences.
If you didn't have weapon breaking then most of the exploration rewards would be redundant, you'd find the treasure of the bandit misko (1H fire sword) and then every one you found after that you'd just not pick it up because you already had it. If they made it so there was only one of each weapon in the world most people wouldn't find them in their playthrough (because most people that played it didn't scour the whole map, far from it) and the rewards for 90% of the secrets would become food or minerals, at that point why would you bother since there are much more efficient ways to get fruit, veg and minerals.
I would have liked if you could repair weapons too, definitely for those certain special ones that can't be farmed (Like giant boomerang, the enemies that spawn with it don't often drop it and there are only 7-8 in chests around the world). What i think they should've added as quest/secret rewards instead of just weapons was recipes, I think they missed a trick making a bunch of "super recipes" that gave you multiple buffs at once, all the delicious cakes and such only give red hearts, it would've been cool if they had more point.
Because that would be pretty aggressive even before covid. And we know that Japan was slower to adjust to working at home, with much less people having powerful pcs at home. Why couldn't this come out as the 2020 Nintendo Holiday title?
Hylians aren't elves, bigot.
What? you think they're all the same just because their ears are similar?

As a post production editor working in the film / advertising biz ( slightly different but post production works similarly in gaming ) I just don’t see this as being possible . These actors may have completed VO that was required for marketing purposes ( trailers and spots) but to finish VO would indicate the story is 100 percent locked ( Nintendo often tells us the story ends up being one of the final phases of pre -production /production. ( Gameplay first !)
Of course we know nothing about where this game is in development , so I concede it certainly is possible , but just based on the unfinished nature of the first teaser ( it was a development announcement , no art assets or title or gameplay )
Or even better, have more interesting weapons to find.Easy remedy, have other shit to do in the world (besides find korok seeds). Problem solved.
I bought the WII U day 1 for BoTW.Does anyone not even remember BOTW and the Wii U???
Should be out in 2014! Guarantee its coming in 2015! Guarantee its coming in 2016!
Dont hold your breath and also dont buy a Switch just for this game. Most likely they will delay it again in order to coincide with the Switch 2 release (yes I am still salty)

Fuck me hahaha never have i rage sold a nintendo console in my life before
Very much doubt it, unfortunately.Honestly, do you guys think Nintendo heard the criticism about durability/dungeons/etc that BOTW got and improved on it?
Very much doubt it, unfortunately.
I want Zelda playable in BotW2
I'm not guessing. This is how game development works. Voice acting is factually done as soon as possible, and very often just as soon as the script is done.
This is a common misconception and incorrect in today's development pipelines.
First one was such overrated garbo, I hope this one will be a proper Zelda game. I don't give a fuck about Zelda if it doesn't have actual dungeons and the Triforce
Don’t really know if the end of nominal voice acting sessions really indicates any kind of progression milestone. Sometimes voice sessions wrap years before a game releases, this is basically just confirmation the storyboard is complete, but that doesn’t mean a whole lot. They could still be building dungeons, tweaking systems, a year of polish and bug testing after that, etc.
TL;DR — This is a big nothing burger.

Agreed, all you have do is look at VA's saying "I worked on this game for two years... 4 years ago" to know that as well.
Maybe people are getting confused with dubbing?
Isn’t dubbing what they’re talking about though? I thought it was a couple of the Spanish language VAs saying they were done recording.

Also meant to mention that VO audio usually has temporary recordings done by people working in the office all the way up until the very end , sometimes putting in the final actors VO RIGHT before release .
Take your time Nintendo and maybe you can create an actual game instead of the unfinished mess that BOTW was. We all loved the empty lands, cut and pasted shrines and towers, no enemy variety, useless loot, pathetic bosses, and complete lack of story.
BOTW had basically the same amount of effort that the new Pokemon game had. Not much. Currently I'm playing Dragon Warrior on Switch and it looks amazing. Voice acting, cut scenes, a shit ton of enemies, weapons that don't break. You can see the effort and care that went into that game. Zelda felt like a rush job with a fuck you thrown in for good measure with the Korok seeds.
Please be good Zelda 2, because it is one of my all time favorite series.
Yeah but it can be toned down a bit, you lose weapons way way too fast. Or atleast have a few permanent weapon or a repair system or at the very least double the durability time.
ELVES?The voice actors better be actual elves or I'm boycotting.
A game built around the concepts of pure freedom and emergent gameplay where you are forced to change weapons every few hits because... reasons...
Being forced to do something is the greatest thing about my free time.
Yeah, so exciting.
So meaningful.
