Anyone else still getting the LE?

Pretty excited about picking mine up after class tomorrow.

Yes. Im stoked for it...the artbook especially. I already own the soundtrack.

gotta get her alt outfit every playthrough no exceptions
Lol, same here.

Poor girl is probably burnt to crisp by now.

And by play I mean actually playing AS her in the game of course.:p

Ken is a character in the game but you dont play as her.

Has Zoradius been confirmed for this? I dont see why it wouldnt be there but Im just wondering.

I'm still on the fence about this, I had decided I'd wait for the PS3 version to drop down to $20 before purchasing but now I'm tempted again, by the way I read something about the game using the analog triggers on the Dualshock, is this something the PS3 version has over the 360 one?

I was under the impression that ZOE2 had everything that the Special Edition release had, so that would include Zoradius. Of course, that was in the original release of the game, so there's no reason why it shouldn't show up in any case.

Thats what Im thinking as well.

I never did go back and complete all those Extra Missions. Might have to do that this time around.

The analog pressure functions of the face buttons on the Dual Shock, specifically (which the 360 controller doesn't have). It was a factor with the PS2 original as well.
Yeah pressure sensitive presses were mostly tied to subweapons.(pressing hard tightened the cone of fire on Phlanx and fired more missiles on H.Missiles.)

I just checked the trophy list; Zoradius is DEFINITELY in the game.

And in case someone asks, yes, there is also a trophy for getting Ken's alternate outfit.

So whats the point of her having an alt outfit? Is it....sexy?

My cockpit is ready.

Gonna be one hell of a ride.

Ah I see, thanks, I think I'll wait till I see the PS3 version running in person and then read some reviews and opinions about it before I make my decision.

Hmmm. Anybody familiar with Gamestop.com shipping process? How long does it usually take for a preorder to ship?

I just preordered the 360 LE from Gamestop yesterday, but I'm afraid it will take forever to ship out.

I have an opportunity to preorder regular 360 edition from Newegg for $29.99 (here is the promo code BTEJNHA33), but it will ship with regular shipping rather than their UPS 3 day.

Not sure which one to get.

Is the soundtrack in the LE a real soundtrack or a "sampler" aka 3 track sound track?

How do you go about doing it? Killing robots at a certain amount of time or something?

Spoiler time I guess:

When you have to "escort" her to the top of a corridor, grab her Orbital Frame and descend towards the molten lava at the bottom of the level and go very close to it. She'll start to complain about it and once she does that several times, you will have unlocked it.

You can also see how it's done here near the end of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSBfcofbr7k

She got some G cups.

Minor spoilers if you care:
At one point, something happens where you have to carry her over some lava. If you descend close enough to the lava, she will comment on how hot it is. Do that a few times and the next scene, youll see her in the secret outfit.

EDIT: Damnit, donkey show. I will have my revenge!

My assumption is that its a "best of" compilation of the two games but I really have no idea. I really dont see them including a full soundtrack for both games in there.

Wow its cut and dry between the PS3 and 360 versions this time.

The 360 is running about 15 to 20fps higher in most situations.

Way to go Konami....

The 360 seems to be running about 45fps and the PS3 at about 30fps.
That's kinda awful.

Re: Analog Buttons in ZOE2.

While people have mentioned here and elsewhere that sub-weapons used the analog button function in ZOE2, the basic shooting attack did as well. If you tapped the square button lightly, you would get a rapid-barrage of small shots. If you pressed the button firmly, you would get a slower rate of fire with stronger, larger shots. I don't think it modified the slashes though.

Well, at least they both have Beyond the Bounds. Itd be a crime to not include that.

Until you factor in the possibility the PS3 may have a gameplay feature the 360 controller can't support. Until we have a clear word on that I'm waiting (and possibly even past then, depending on the LE situation).

bah, the Ps3 shouldn't have the worst version of a Ps2 port. This is ridiculous.

This video makes me reconsider. I really wanted it, but this doesn't look like the proper experience.

Clearly the 360 version is running better than the PS3 version, but how much more consistent is the PS2 version than the 360 version? I haven't played much of ZoE 2, but I remember it being pretty consistent. Certainly smoother than the 360 footage of this.

I hate when it happens, but sometimes it really is just because of the technical differences. I imagine Silent Hill however could've been equal at least on PS3 had it been done by a better developer.

Gonna pick up the PS3 version tomorrow. I own ZOE 1&2 on the PS2, but never made it very far in either. ZOE2 on normal was pretty brutal. So much so that I quit after dying 20 times on a boss. iirc easy was the Japanese version's normal, so I am going with that. Maybe i'll try normal on replay.

And maybe the slowdown in this version will make everything easier.

Went ahead and reconsidered and snagged the Xbox 360 ver. off of Newegg with a coupon. Damn it, I wanted it on PS3. Weird how certain games feel "wrong" for certain systems. Bah, whatever. As for whether the 360 port is up to par with the PS2 ver based on evidence we have: I just played through the PS2 version, and while it does hit that buttery smooth 60fps often, its frame dips are dramatic, going into SotC-like single digits at times. The frame data we have on both HD collections suggests this isn't the case. But the Xbox 360 performance appears markedly better.

God damn, I remember trying ZoE2 in a rental on normal and barely made any headway, figures it was because of that. Tuned it down to Easy and was able to rip through it, albeit STILL with some difficulty.

Figures that Konami and Capcom kept their "crank up all the difficulties!" habits even into that generation, though I guess it serves no point today.

It hit 60 fps more often sure, but it wasn't consistent in doing so. If anything, the beginning of ZOE2 runs pretty consistently; the later sections of the game start hitting like single digit framerates at times.

Also, I think I'll pick up the PS3 LE at the AssCreed 3 Midnight launch tonight. I will be able to tell you if the pressure sensitive button presses made it in. If it didn't, either the game is going to have to make the game register every button press as a hard press, or a lot of stuff is going to be near useless (won't be able to multilock all that well or as fast, will only be able to use two homing missiles at a time as opposed to 10 [this makes a big difference], halberd won't be as good, and phalanx will essentially be useless).

I would assume/hope that with stuff like this it defaults to Hard. If they DIDN'T do that, yeah, that'd seal it on the question of port quality.

Oh wow, this was stuff I was unaware of.

Yeah, get on that asap for us man. Will dictate whether or not I pass on the game.

Needs more Revengeance ;)

I played a fair bit of the demo for the first game back in the day but never got around to playing either game proper so it will be interesting to go through these now. That is once I'm done with Revengeance.

FYI, that was fallback behavior in the original. If you played with a Dualshock 1 (no pressure sensitive buttons), it would register each press at max pressure. I'm pretty sure this was mandated by Sony, I remember similar behavior in Dynasty Warriors 3 and GT3.

Interesting, my Ragnarok Odyssey for Vita is also still in preorder and not shipped. Welp, guess I won't be playing them tomorrow unless something magical happens in the next few hrs.

Ten again, can't recall seeing release date shipping on them.
