Maybe they will talk about their plans for the QOL goods, perhaps slow start on Wii U with some fitness game.

Reggie: "Come at me, Geoff".

Soraya Saga and Hashimoto (director of Bayo 2) retweeted the Direct, so probably X and B2 will be there.

that would be bloody brilliant but I moved the goalposts so backwards I'll be content with pretty much anything they show

an EU SMTIV release date would be most appropriate, since I need to buy a new XL and am currently steering towards for a NTSC one because of that game, among other reasons

final super real predictions:

3ds:
-trailer for kirby in the us
-trailer for yoshi's new island
-dq vii showcased for the us and europe
-mario golf release date for us and europe
-smt iv release date for europe
-etrian odyssey untold release date for europe
-game.com now on virtual console
-final fantasy viii remake announced
-advance wars awakening announced for japan

wii u
-account system finalized, to be implemented in later 2014 (mostly to prep for qol)
-ds games available after the direct. first ones will be super mario 64 ds, brain age, and metroid prime hunters
-luigi's mansion 2 hd revealed for a very quick march release
-yarn yoshi shown off, releasing in early june
-x trailer and name
-hyrule warriors shown in the japanese direct
-nfc game shown- it's smash bros.!
-bayonetta 2 trailer
-eshop games shown off for the spring
-profuse apologizing for sonic boom
-will be showing off zelda wii u at e3, alongside x, and smt x fe
-ends with mario kart 8 trailer except here comes a new challenger! it's the car from grand torino.

Sounds good but I don't think we'd be getting DS games yet, and not real ones like Mario 64 (but stuff like brain age are a go)

I'm most excited about whatever Smash trailer, but I hope to see more Hyrule Warriors as well. Maybe another playable character.

I am not going to be able to watch it. I would have preferred if they would have done it earlier like they usually do. I am still excited and cannot wait until tomorrow.

I've officially joined the X hype train.

Shout-outs to Mlatador for my X-ed up Star-Lord avatar. You did good, my friend.

Nintendo Direct finally? Same day as NPD? Hmm I wonder if Nintendo will show us something shiny in order to distract us from the (almost certainly) bad month.

They've used recent Directs to launch NES Remix and Wii Sports out of the blue (and maybe Dr. Luigi?). It'd be nice if we got another game, maybe that rumored Steel Diver FTP people keep bringing up. Or something out of left field.

Some concrete info on existing games would be nice (X's and Hyrule Warrior's real names, a firm release date for Mario Kart and maybe Bayo 2). I'd also like to see some indie stuff, like Shin'en's Art of Touch in motion as well as a FAST Neo trailer. An announcement of more collaborations would be great.

Perhaps some focus on VC. Show us how DS games will work, reaffirm N64 and GBA. Reveal the TG-16 VC launch or reintroduce the DKC Trilogy to the shop.

My gut feels there's going to be another Gamecube game enhanced in HD, probably Luigi's Mansion.

Man the direct threads get so big yet no ones buying their stuff...I guess its always the hope something new and exciting gets announced?

Nintendo had a fucking great 2013 and as sad as I was that 2014 started with a drought and no January direct, I'm hyped for tomorrow.

Still a half dozen games I can't wait to play plus some surprises!

I honestly don't think I've wanted a game more then I want this game. It was sold from the first trailer and the second one just pulled me in more.

Seriously. I can't remember the last time I've been this legitimately excited for a game. There's lots of games I get excited for, but very few have had the same impact one me that this game has.

There's just something about it.

If they retweet the direct it basically confirms something is going to be shown, theres no reaosn to "move the goalpost" for some arbitrary reason.

It's the mechs. Mechs make everything better.

I just hope the game has customizable mechs.

If you've played Xenoblade then you want to capture that experience again.
X hits all the right notes and then some.
Everything about it is bigger and better. It's far more epic and far more amazig.

Neogaf probably has a disproportionately large slice of existing wiiu owners, not all all representative of the normal population.

However, yeah, most of gaf has played and enjoyed something from the company at some point. They've made so many varied things over the decades. Even people who dislike the company's direction would still be thrilled to see their particular interests served.

I did play Xenoblade. And I liked it. But it didn't blow me away. But yeah, X is hitting all the right notes with me.

My biggest "fear" w/ X is that it turns out to be Monster Hunter esque game or MMO like....and not a full fledged RPG w/ story and stuff.

I'd still buy it because it looks awesome but it definately would take some luster off of it....

and yet that also would probably be better for sales (in Japan atleast)

why the animosity man? I just said I'm ready for everything, be it cool news or stuff we already know about

I cant follow the ND tomorrow, people need to be nice on me :(
