Did Red/Blue have the ice puzzles where you had to move in a specific order to get past them or you would end up sliding into a wall?

It could be far worse... There's a hole in Pokemon code that allow to run arbitrary code. Maybe they'll be able to program a whole new game.

I would be interesting to see how a random number generator does compared to The Hive Mind. Side by side videos and all.
I don't think it does. Gold/Silver does though. I think they wouldn't be that big of a deal - I managed them as a kid by more or less mashing random directions, so they'd probably be the easiest puzzle for this thing.
The puzzles that Red/Blue does have are still going to be murder. Lt. Surge's trash cans, pushing Strength rocks, exploring the Safari Zone - those are going to be the biggest hurdles.

We're 45 hours into the run and we've beaten 2 gym leaders so the answer to that is... kinda.
