Mobility is nice, really satisfying to move around. So far what it makes me want is a FPA ala Metroid Prime but with a non-hideous engine using the satisfying movement set. Angel City design cracks me up - super awesome city with like a million potential jumping and wallrunning possibilities, but you're contained to the middle of the city in some sort of Central Park metal crate world. It's hilarious.
The game itself has remarkable similarities to Call of Duty on foot provided you don't do the double jumps/wall running, and of course that's the big strike against it for me off the bat. Thankfully the wallrunning and jumping is there, because it does make it more enjoyable to just get around.
So far though things like the smart pistol, some of the weapon balance and many other issues that have returned to show their ugly faces from other modern designed competitive FPS continue to turn me off. I can only imagine how bad it is going to be when all the challenges and whatnot are there and we have half the asshat team trying to knife people in midair because they need JUST TWENTY MORE to get a medal or some shit. I'm sure the perk system in place will similarly eviscerate balance too, like it does in all other modern FPS that have it. Unfortunately nothing in the demo assuaged my fears in that regard either.
It is really neat to move around though. I'll give it a few more rounds before deciding definitively whether it'll ever be for me or not, but this is the type of game I think I'd play if it were F2P but with a market system like Team Fortress 2. So far, that's where I'm at. Too early though to make final proclamations
