it's not that strong i guess. Probably used to more easily farm A.I. grunts for quicker Titanfall. It's just a dumb weapon though all around, terrible for a competitive set up.

Edit: And the game locked up and crashed. *shakes fist*
 
Good lord this is infuriating. It keeps locking up randomly for a few seconds and does *not responding* and as soon as it loads in, the game says it's reconnecting, then kicks me out. gahhhh. What gives.
 
Last Titan Mode is pretty cool. Teaches you how to fight in a Titan pretty quickly. Cool how you can catch rockets as well as bullets.

Am still shocked my old ass 6770 is running this game so smoothly lol.
 
Was able to get in (PC, North Central), get through the tutorial and into a lobby, then timed out again. Now back to to trying to connect, ughh.

Well the AI takes the one lock on while players it takes 3 targets for the full lock on insta-kill. Eh it's way to early to even judge. I need way more play time this weekend then we'll see.

Wait you can kill regular pilots that way too? I never used it in competitive play, I thought there's no way they'd make it so simple. I know they said you could target pilots multiple times during tutorial, but I thought in practice you'd have to do it at least twice to get a kill...

That is ridiculous. Yet another quirk of another modern FPS game meant with the sole purpose apparently of making people with no skill feel better about themselves :/

570 here, texture res on medium, everything else on high except for shadows / lighting and am getting 60 solid -____- but the texture res makes the game look like ass
 
This game is really, really easy. Which I don't think is a bad thing, but I think it will turn people who think of themselves as more skilled players off.

It's not strong, but it's incredibly useful (annoying) against fast moving pilots. It can be hard to hit wall running/jumping pilots with the other weapons, but with the smart pistol you just aim in their general direction.

It's going to be Titanfall's noobtube.

it's basically hunting season. Skilled players will just enjoy getting a trillion kills against nonsense players, and non-skilled players can gleefully smart pistol people to death, auto execute them from behind, or kill grunts for quick titanfalls and quick kills. Everything seems to be like a Taco Bell fun playworld, as inoffensive as possible so everybody gets a prize!
 
Game has that epic arcade feel mixed with twitch shooter. The extra bots make you feel like a god. Wished the real player count was higher but this game at the core is real fun. Can't say that about most games at my age this game is gladly a day 1 buy.
 
I don't know what to think of the game atm. The pilot vs pilot encounters feel like Call of Duty but with more quicker. Titan encounters feel super boring though.

i still haven't been able to use that thunder weapon yet. I want to try that so bad before I put this game to bed. :(

I'll never understand that either. I mean, for the simple fact of how difficult it is to balance lock-on weapons as it is in other games should be enough disregarding all the other reasons why I think it's weird that they would make one.

The counter is technically just a quick shot to that person before they can lock on to you but that doesn't account for all the variables. I can see it being very useful in the obvious bot farming we'll see in this game.

This game is conflicting for me. On one hand, it will be a lot of fun and it's really easy, on the other hand, it's really easy which takes away from some of the fun. It's similar to how I would use the shittier weapons in COD just to mix things up a bit. In a lot of ways, it's the fun, easy gameplay from COD that people either love or hate. The movement and other changes add a lot to the game, but it still comes to down to easy combat. I can see why people like it, especially journalists... :P

I've always said that the bots were there to make less skilled people feel like badasses and it seems to be the case. Easy combat that makes everyone feel like they're at least decent.
 
Hey guys so I was playing earlier with my 560 TI and 3570k and I was getting really bad frames. 30-40 on max low on 1080p however I decided to download the latest nvidia beta drivers + restarting pc and im getting 50-60 frames now on mostly high settings. Give it a try guys it might work for you.
 
The only complaint I do have is that it doesn't juggle the teams up. It's the same team every time. So when you get a team that is stomping you, you can expect it every time over and over.
 
Was able to play a match of Hardpoint and Attrition. I knew the game would be fast paced but didn't realize it would be this fast pace. It's like ordered chaos. So much is seemingly going on but at the same time I can somewhat follow things. Bringing down a Titan as a pilot is really satisfying. Especially if it saves a Titan on my side. Being able to jump and climb walls, etc certainly adds enough change to keep it new and interesting.

Need to play a few more matches but I think I might be ordering this. However I'll just stick with the PC side and not bother with an Xbox One. It's fun so far but not "buy a new system" fun.

Just can't get back into the game now.
 
Damn... this game is so fun. Loving it.
