No but they mention Stark and Banner a few times each

Saw it today (UK here) and I have to say that they really upped the ante with this. The first was already one of my fave phase one flicks and this looks like it'll end up being my fave fave of phase two.
Just going to echo what has been said already in this thread, Marvel need to get the person who did the fight choreography on all of their projects. They did an excellent job translating what I always imagined the Captain's fighting style would be like. Fast, fluid and brutal.
The Russo's do action brilliantly. I believe they've been earmarked for a potential sequel?
It is still so weird that we in the UK get this first.
I didn't follow any of the hype/trailers (this was even my first Marvel film in a cinema) but after watching it last night, I completely agree, the scope of this film was off the chain, totally felt like Avengers 1.5.Also I have to say that all the main characters were awesome, it was sorta indeed Avengers 1.5 like some people have been saying.
At my screening, half the audience left as soon as the credits hit. Leaving before the second post credits scene is understandable.. but if you're that excited enough about a movie to watch it on day 1, surely you can wait 1 minute for an extra scene.
Reading about Cap kicking ass effortlessly pleases me.
Just a lil over a week until it hits the US.

Man I hope the Winter Soldier and Cap fight scene(s) deliver showcasing how awesome both are.
I liked the last one. I just think these are hard to take after Avengers. The villain in Iron Man 3 wouldn't draw the interest of Shield? He fought toe to toe with Thor in Avengers, but gets shredded easily by humans.
I skipped Thor 2, but I'm interested in praise like this for Captain America.

Seriously wtf, Euros use the Spoiler Thread
*sigh* so it looks like Chris Evans WILL be retiring from acting after he's done with Capbut he's gonna finish his Marvel contract so likely Cap 3 and Avengers 3.
seeing as he's my #1 fave actor, this news breaks my heart </3
Except Thor 2 doesn't have the critical acclaim that this movie is getting so far. And if you actually read the reviews on rotten tomatoes, you'll see that the movie is rather well received.
But go ahead and ignore all the positivity on this and go rent it on DVD
you've obviously made up your mind going so far as to trash two marvel films
Now that's something I find hard to believe.
Soo, are you gonna back that up, or what?
Just saw it, I think it's one of the best Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
Saw it tonight. Its probably my favourite out of all the marvel films.
Just came back, really liked it
Avengers > Thor 2 > Cap Am > Thor > Hulk > Iron Man > IM3 > IM 2 .
Big improvement over the first film and one of Marvel's better films in the MCU. I'd even say it's the best non-Avengers MCU film since...say, Iron Man?
Source?
But Thor 2 and Agents of SHIELD though.Marvel can not put a foot wrong at the moment in my opinion.

For Evans, the “Captain America” experience has been mostly positive. He credits the series with enabling him to land his dream job. “Without these movies, I wouldn’t be directing,” he reckons. “They gave me enough overseas recognition to greenlight a movie. And if I’m speaking extremely candidly, it’s going to continue to do that for as long as the Marvel contract runs.”
After wrapping “Avengers” at the end of the summer, Evans plans to helm another feature later this year, and he’s looking for scripts. “I put everything in ‘1:30 Train,’ ” he says. But whether that film succeeds or not, he feels confident he’ll get another shot at directing. “That’s not a luxury that most people are afforded,” he points out.
He got his start in showbiz at 17, when he interned at a New York casting agency and convinced a client to sign him. His first break was in short-lived 2000 Fox TV series, “Opposite Sex,” followed by 2001 spoof “Not Another Teen Movie” and 2004 thriller “Cellular.” “It didn’t really go anywhere,” Evans says of the latter film. “That’s when you start to realize just because you’re the lead in a movie, that doesn’t mean you have a career.”
Among his tentpole action turns, Evans has taken risks with smaller, gritty indie films, including Danny Boyle’s 2007 astronaut drama “Sunshine,” which grossed less than $4 million domestically. His other favorite performance was in 2011 legal thriller “Puncture,” which registered negligible grosses. “No one sees my good little movies, man,” Evans laments.
Evans might have been born with the superhero gene. He says that he doesn’t need to train excessively hard to stay in shape — about an hour a day in the gym maintains his superhero physique — and adds that he can eat what he wants, an assertion that elicits groans from his “Avengers” colleagues.
“That’s the most irritating quote I’ve ever heard; I’m sure it’s true, and I’d like to rewrite it,” says Downey, who adds that he personally often follows a long production day with a visit to the gym. Johansson recalls nibbling on kale chips and dry popcorn on the set of “Avengers,” and turning around and spotting Evans with a handful of gummy bears and Skittles. “And that’s the fate I’ve been dealt,” she says. “I’m a girl trying to keep up with these guys.” Hemsworth would sometimes see Evans at a local gym in Albuquerque. “I have to say that for the integrity of the character, Thor could lift more than Captain America,” he quips.
Evans admits he could change his mind in the future about his career trajectory. “For all I know, in five years, I might say, ‘Shit, I miss acting.’ Right now, I just want to get behind the camera and make movies.” He recently had a candid conversation with his team about it. One of his agents even tried to twist his arm, asking, “What if, hypothetically, some role came along and it was great?” Evans wouldn’t budge. “We are turning a corner,” he told his rep.
*bunch of posts showing people gushing about Thor 2*
Cheer up. He did say he may changed his mind by the time the whole thing is over:

But Thor 2 and Agents of SHIELD though.
Oh god, why would they think this.
As far as the newer set of Marvel movies go, I'd say Iron Man 1> Avengers > Captain America >>>>Iron Man 2> Thor 2 > Thor 1. Haven't seen IM3 yet, don't really have the urge to honestly.
I'm hyped for this though, the action scenes look pretty damn great. I liked the first one a lot except for the fact there wasn't enough action, and the ended was retarded.
Ratsky is just mad he didn't get cast in the movie, so he has to stick to his damn CW shows to get work
I GOT MAH EYE ON YOUUU
Badass. Though he wasn't theSo, for people who have already seen the flick, how is the character of Winter Soldier?
How you gonna put iron man 1 at the top of the list and not even bother with iron man 3 which is even better
And to top it off you sat through all of cap 1 and Thor series....bruh
I know Thor 1 was basically a gateway to Loki being The Avengers antagonist, but I feel like Thor 2 added nothing but thatcameo at the end. Since Loki isn't gonna be in Avengers 2, it seems that him MAJOR THOR 2 SPOILERS:GoTG.faking his death and posing as Odin is just a set up for Thor 3
Not that I have a problem with it, but it just feels like it didn't do anything for Phase 2 unless I'm forgetting some crucial shit. I only saw it once on the opening weekend. I thought the 3rd act was fun, and that the film was about as good as the first.
I feel like I can watch IM3 more than IM1 without getting bored. Such a fun movie, can't believe so many people hate it. It was one of those movies that really toy with you on your first sitting.
