Ok, that seems a bit unfair to say. The ps4 is perfectly capable of 60 fps, but it ultimately was not a priority for Evolution.
It's not ok to write off a system for one game not being 60 fps.
On upgrade of PS+ Edition to full game.

I'm imagining playing F-Zero GX at 30 FPS and ewwww...
That wouldn't make much sense, because you could just buy the full game on the store and delete the + version. The Blu-Ray offers the best value?
That makes me wonder if the upgrades come in the form of microtransactions leading up to a higher pricetag for the full game if you go that way.
They also gain a lot because of it. Remember everyone drooling over those PGR shots last gen (hell, people still do), or that Motostorm gif in the hurricane? Remember that open world Forza game that was widely praised and is actually preferred over the sim version by some people? I love 60fps racers as much as the next guy, but I'm not going to pretend that new hardware miraculously gives developers some unlimited overhead in what they want to achieve in their game and I'm not going to pretend that 60fps is the only target that developers should strive for.
Oh oh 30 fps! It's the end of the world! What the hell I am gonna do with my life!!...
What about stop crying and admit you can enjoy the game at 30 fps?
Because buying a game or not depending on its frame rate is really childish.
You are overreacting. People, open your minds, why do you need it closed? That only brings up bad choices.
Plus, everyone here anti-30 fps knows that they will drop their jaws when seeing the game on their TVs, they are gonna want to play it, and they are gonna enjoy it.
Admit it. Be honest with yourselves.
Good point.
Yeah alot of good info is getting buryManual control of time of day and compression sound pretty neat.

Well, it might loose them a couple of gaffers, but all the other people will just see a damn fine looking game.
Personally, i can deal with a good 30fps but i prefer 60.
It may be their strategy to get more people to buy the game digitally at a discounted price without pissing off retailers. All the money from an upgrade goes directly to Sony since it's their game.i have to ask. if upgrading from the PS+ free version will cost something like 40$ " assuming that of course because i remember saying the upgrade will be a minimal amount or something like that. i can't remember the exact words they said.
based on that why would someone pay a 60$ for the game at retail when he can get it day one from the online store for a little bit less like 40$ or even 50$ ?
Seems like it. A part of the game will be free. Probably a large part. The Blu-Ray offers the best value?

Yeah or Wipeout. If they announced a 30fps Wipeout I would be pretty upset. This game isn't even close to the speed if Wipeout of F-Zero
No, I didn't.I think you just confirmed what he said.
PG4 is one is the most fun racers of all time it's actually probably my favorite. I could have a spotty memory but I could have swore when that game came out we were all loving it and no one I can remember was having a panic attack over the FPS.
Lol, more and more reasons to stay away from next-gen consoles. The irony - I would've bought it even if the visuals are "downgraded". This, coming from a gamer who prefers playing on PC instead. The only reason to get consoles at this point are the exclusives; and when developers are harping about da-graphics as a justifying precedent over gameplay, then I can no longer trust his stance on the "experience".
Personally, I wouldn't mind 30FPS, but at his point I'm standing on my argument based on principle. The PS4 to me is getting far less attractive with meager, generic offerings like this and if this game flops, I'd be laughing to hell because apparently, Da-visuals (that comes with the clearly dat AAA budget) couldn't save this game. I'd expect your typical white knights out of the woodwork blaming the rest for not supporting the industry

Wipeout is atrocious on Vita because of this.
Thankfully most racing games don't require the pinpoint precision that Wipeout and F-Zero do.
And you're in this thread why?...
Trolling is a bannable offense.
How fantastic for you. I'm not belittling others for their preference of visuals over control or lacking of more discriminating taste in control, but yours and others' dismissive comments come off as assholishly defensive. Yes, other than control feel and response, PGR 2, 3, and 4 all beat PGR 1 for content and refinement...but they could have done the same if they had stuck to 60fps, as well.apologies. PGR2 and 4 > PGR1 by a mile, and half the framerate. OH NOES!
Both RSC games and PGR1 were 60fps.
Yeah, I remember near universal praise for the game.
And why not? Just look at this magnificent creation.
Look at that amazing motion blur and dat rain.
Bizarre were gods man. GODS!
I think I'll have to suffer with Project CARS on PC at 4k @ 120FPS. DriveClub luckily isn't the only racing game coming out. Plenty to choose from.
It's a perfectly valid opinion (one that I share).
I am happy that you have a super computer![]()
Calling this game meager, generic and laughing if it bombs is a completely stupid opinion, period.
I sure hope the DriveClub OT is not going to be another 30vs60 thread lol
Yeah I can't even play Wipeout on Vita it really highlights how necessary the high FPS is.
