Locking at 30 fps means not going up or down
Capping at 30 fps means it wont go above 30 fps but might have hiccups and go down
In the general term those are facts . But for example if you think 60 fps with good visuals is better than 30 fps with great visuals then that is an opinion
Nah, you probably just never knew your cared.

- 30 fps and good visuals is good
- 30 fps and great visuals is great
- 60 fps and ok visuals is bad
- 60 fps and good visuals is good
- 60 fps and great visuals is amazing
I was interested. Said I would re purchase a ps4 for this game. But sorry i don't play 30fps racers anymore. If I wanted to, I would hop back on my 360. But hey, that's just me.
Lol . In a racing game where all u do is go left and right ? Yeah i don't think so
If you are that sharp to complain about missing some frames in a racing game then maybe you need to stop playing video games and go race in real life.
This is not a sim game where 60fps is a must . This is an arcade racer. And the funny thing is that online. Your lag internet connection will have a bigger impact on your driving more than the fps count in the game.
I am not saying you have bad internet connection but everyone has a certain lag.
Burnout Paradise, for all its 60 frames per second, suffered from hefty design problems that rendered it very much an inferior Burnout game.

I'm see a lot more "30FPS is acceptable" replies here than in a normal topics about framerates. Wonder what the reason is?
This obsession with 60fps is obnoxious. As long as it's locked and rock solid, that's all that really matters.

More effects > 60fps. All day.
Wait, what?
Also, how are these "facts"?
The PlayStation Plus Edition hasnt changed. Its hardly a demo because you get access to all of the games features online and offline. The difference is that you only have 10 cars and you can only race in one country (which gives you access to 5 tracks with 11 distinct variants).
Youll be able to customise your vehicles using liveries that you unlock throughout the game, changing colours and paint finishes of the various layers. This will allow you to create unique paint jobs thatll make you and your club stand out from the pack.

It just has to DRIVE like PGR. PLEASE.
Well they ain't gettin my money if it's 30fps.Enjoy not playing Horizon 2 when it's confirmed to be 30fps too.
PS+ version of Driveclub will have 5 tracks (1 country) and 10 cars.

They are not facts, it is a way for people who knocked Forza so badly to justify Drive Club being 30fps and looking great.
It will be really interesting it Forza Horizon is at E3 now.
Just to clarify not hating on Drive Club, it looks amazing and will be a great game. Just a shame people defend this game because it chose visuals yet Forza is a launch title and got totally lambasted. Hypocrites much?

Better? It looks worse than forza. All we've seen is clouds and day cycles. That's a bold claim. Sorry I'll take a good racing game over pretty sunsets.

When it comes to the current gen consoles developers can only pick 2
60fps
IQ (1080p AA AF options ect.)
Graphics
Personally i think IQ should always come first then the trade offs should be taken into account.
People are expecting good graphics for their new shiny consoles so it's obvious what they are going to chose.
Why the hell i burn out paradise even being mentioned that game looked bad, the environments looked extremely poor and it suffered from the open world design with overall mediocre 'tracks'.
Ugh an Eternal argument with that framerate/resolution/effects debacle.
Anyways im for 60> shiny effects, especially on an arcade racer.
That sounds like precious little content to me.
nope. forza 2 had the most rock-steady 60hz you ever played.Turn 10 did this for Forza 1 and 2 where they polled controller input and ran physics at double the framerate, but they chose to go with 60fps with 3 and on for a reason. There's just nothing like 60fps, even with great blur.
So we get a stunning looking racer that isn't responsive. They have their priorities mixed up. Also this means the PS4 isn't gonna have a 60fps racer anytime soon. Unless I'm missing something.
