No. It's Ys 7 with the most disgusting use of bloom ever witnessed in a video game. It's an ugly motherfucker.Oh so is it basically Ys 7 with better graphics? That's all I need to know.
In Canada. Tried this and got a code and it didn't work...FML a digital code didn't even work. Not sure if I need to get one from Canada...I shouldn't though. I bought a digital code (tearaway) before and it worked fine. WTF
What's happening when you try to use Paypal to add funds? That's what I've been doing ever since they allowed it on the SEN site. Never had an issue before.
Wats so good about it

But it has Karna and dat Ys 7 combat.
That sucks. Hope it wasn't my post that made you try it :\
"This transaction was unsuccessful"
I have like $35 worth of cancelled Paypal transactions that still appear on my bank activity
Will have to talk to their support to ensure I'm not getting charged for them
The Amazon digital card thing worked well for me though
It was! D:
Now, I got a gift card that doesn't seem to work.
I did end up putting money on Paypal and that did go through, but man that was a huge waste of time and customer service is so inept.
just saying it for the people who don't want to research and go in blind with their first Ys.It's not pretty, but when the hell have we played Ys for the graphics? I do admit that they could have at least made it native res.
Got Chrono Cross too.
I'm not sure whether I've heard more positive or negative consensus from the grapevine, but for such a low price, it's at least worth a try, right?
Now I'm not sure if I want to grab a 3 month US PS+ subscription for the deals.
yeah, do this. You can spend 9.99 for one month if you want.
I asked a few pages about about Armored Core and the Altier PS3 game. Are they worth it?
Nah it's okSorry bud. I tried to clarify US at the end as I wasn't sure on the regions for the network cards but I should've been clearer :
Put funds and buy the stuff on PC. I had to use paypal...their servers may be getting rammed.Has anyone else been getting an "Error has occurred" post whenever they try to buy something on PS3? I got my Vita stuff fine but the PS3 just won't let me buy or add funds or anything.
I really hope Namco keeps these sort of sales up. It's crazy seeing such deep discounts for stuff that's basically still full price at stores. This is the sort of digital sales for consoles I want to see more of.
Didn't they put Xillia and Graces up for like $10 last Japanese games sale? Or am losing it?they need to discount Tales of Graces F
Yea, they did that for Xillia.Didn't they put Xillia and Graces up for like $10 last Japanese games sale? Or am losing it?
Considering getting Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. Is it worth ten bucks? I really enjoyed Xillia.
Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory any good?
You're killing me guys! I still need to know!
So I got mgs hd collection and p4 for vita. Been playing mgs2.. wow I must've died at least a dozen times. I forgot how shitty the control on mgs2
So I'm wondering about GAF opinions about something.. I'm checking out various titles on the sale this week, and noticed Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is half off, for $9.99. Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions is also $9.99. I've only played a little of FFT long ago on the PS1, and I've heard good things about both.. So I come to GAF for guidance on which I should pick up.
My gut says to pick up Tactics Ogre because it's half off and get FFT later, but I really would prefer to know the substantial differences (if there are any) between the two, and any quality differences people can bring to light.
Halp me plis.
Not playing my biases here as I liked TO:LUCT more than FFT but FFT:WOTL is a bad port of the PSX game. Lots of slowdown everywhere which makes it unplayable for me. The additional content is not that much but it's still a plus though.
TO:LUCT on the other hand is a good port of the PSX game and a great SRPG if you're itching for one. It maybe a bit grindy (I didn't mind it) but it stands as one of my favorite SRPGs so I can't recommend it enough.
I always see nothing but absolute raving for Persona 4 but I'm not exactly fond of traditional jrpgs. Anyone play it who doesn't like jrps and what did you think?
just go for TO lol.Hmm, okay I'll avoid WotL. Is the PSOne version on the PS Store worth checking into, then? As in, does it run better than the WotL version? I hear a lot of praise for TO:LUCT so I'm leaning that direction, but if the PSOne classic version is good, then I'm torn again. lol.

Vanilla WotL is like Chrono Trigger PS1 level of incompetence.
For the sake of performance, yeah the OG doesn't have animation slowdown. WotL has bonus shit too, that's a positive and other improvements. Watch a video and see if you can handle it.
FFT on PS1 was my first ever SRPG. It sold me on the genre, and will always be remembered fondly by me.
Played a bunch of other SRPGs since, and TO is the best best one by a huge margin. A while after completing TO, I bought FFT: WotL when it was on sale. It is so slow and clunky in comparison to TO. TO refined so much of the SRPG mechanics that they're painfully missed when playing FFT again.
So if you want to play both, play FFT first. But in all honesty, TO is the far better game, so you could just play that. More streamlined interface and mechanics, more depth, better balance, better story, better difficulty scale.
Plus there's the issue with the PSP version of FFT anyway. It has major slowdown whenever you're casting magic, which wasn't there in the PS1 original.
I'm pretty sure he means just in general. It's pretty common to have to get back into the rhythm of the games after a long enough hiatus. That said the controls for 2 and to a lesser extent in 3 are somewhat unintuitive. You mean in general even on Playstation or on the Vita?
Like Pokemon? Can you expand on that?I'm not the typical JRPG person but overall, it is a really good game. Great graphics on the Vita too compared to other JRPGS. I never played a Persona before and maybe the hardcore will disagree, but the game reminded me somewhat of a Pokemon but different and not to that high standard while still solid. If your not into JRPGs, you will like it. It's solid with a great story that is a mystery, good interactivity in the world with ease where you are not traversing the world like a lot JRPGs. It is not a traditional JRPG in a lot of ways.
