so whats the reason why electro's electricity barely fizzled spidey? And why couldn't he just do that backstab move he did on that oscorp exec's bodyguard for pierce damage?

Spidey should have died after the first attack. He was taking all those hits like they were nothing.

Wasn't is mentioned earlier in the film that Spidey's suit gives him a slight resistance to the electricity? This was the scene when the news reporter was interviewing those GAF looking nerds after the Time Square scene.

You call it bullshit, but it was a scene in the movie. Made for nitpickers who would ask all the dumb questions that have no baring on the quality of the film itself lol.

People act like Electro zapping the shit out of Spider-Man has only happened in this movie. Saying Spider-Man should've died after the fist shock, smh.

Electro was putting out insane amounts of voltage/current and Spidey's suit gets a few minor rips. Absolute bullshit. Just like that Cold Fusion shit in Star Trek.

There was an absence of Spidey suit damage overall in this film lol. I did find that a little weird, I like how beat up Spidey looks.

I'm glad I went with my poor(er) friends to the cheap theater, and only paid $6 to watch ASM2. I would've been pissed had I paid $17 for the IMAX 3D showing.

Overall, I thought the movie was entertaining, but a letdown. It was probably the most accurate Spider-Man on film, but the villains were so old school comic book-y. The cheesy one-liners from Rhino were lame, and Electro was just.....ugh, so cliche. He's carrying around a bunch of blueprints on a crowded street....watch them get knocked out of his hands!

I'll rent ASM2 when it comes out on Netflix, and that'll be the last time I watch it. Sony should just give Marvel back the rights so he can be done right.

It has nothing to do with nitpickers, really. It's just lazy exposition.

Well what else is it? Unless I missed a bit of Superior that says other wise.

I mean like you said, you're technically correct, but it's a pointless kind of correct. Yes, Spiderman killed someone, but it wasn't Peter Parker. That's like saying if the Joker ever took over Bruce Wayne's mind and then blew up Gotham, Batman blew up Gotham.

I would read that comic.

Of course it was lazy, but they still made an effort to address it as terribly executed as it was. I think the, "why didn't Electro 1hit KO Spider-Man?" Is indeed a stupid nitpick.

Since when did people need an explanation for Spider-Man being able to tolerate Electro's bolts? That was never brought up before this movie lol, and even for the people who would ask the question- the film still felt the need to address it since these movies have to be realistic because they are live action. It's not like he recovered instantly after every time he was shocked.

In the comics, Electro has jacked Spider-Man the fuck up.

Electro was about to do just that before Gwen saved Peter.

The problem is the lack of visual damage in that it hurts the believability in the sequences moreso than the fact that Spidey straight out wasn't killed. The direction in the fight sequences don't really sell that Spidey is taking a lot of damage and this is compounded by the lack of physical damage to the suit/Peter.

I'll agree with that.

It actually seemed like the Lizard from the first movie was more of a challenge than Electro who was depicted as pretty godlike in this movie.

But then again the Spidey in this movie would've probably had the Lizard from the first one pinned down after one fight.

EDIT: After them lying about the "untold story" tagline from the first film, why would you even buy into anything they are marketing this franchise as lol. Especially when some of the voice over, and clips they have shown in the trailers and commercials aren't even in the movie. lol truth in advertising.

I really can't wait to see what the tagline of the next film will be now that they've used, "his greatest battle yet." The, "he will never be the same," would've probably worked better.

its what i've been saying. 'spidey's greatest challenge' or w/e the tag line is, is pretty much a lie.

well i guess it they were referencing his love life maybe.

Also, I dunno about you guys, but I really loved the cinematography in this movie. Don't know why, but everything seemed to flow nicely.

TASM had some good cinematography too.

This film was better edited than the first one. Although there are a few editing errors that were noticeable. Like Max licking Spider-Man's left hand, and Spider-Man using his right hand to fix his comb over.

The other one I noticed was Goblin pulling out that glider shaped knife with one hand, and then it cuts to him trying to cut Spider-Man with the opposite hand.

Does everyone agree the soundtrack is horrible?

Multiple songs with lyrics that are relevant to the scene, horribly cheesy outbursts during stuff like that train coming out of the ground, AND DUBSTEP ITSY BITSY SPIDER (not to mention Electro was dubstep incarnate).

The Amazing Spider Man 2 - The Itsy Bitsy Spider …: http://youtu.be/kVB3LS374uM

I mean, really? Man this movie could've been so much better.

Random other qualms: airplanes scene was unnecessary, entire Parker parents plot was unnecessary and had barely any effect on the story, last 30 minutes should've been stretched out and more prominent.

But being dispersed doesn't kill him since he could just reassemble himself

I'm sure he has less control when he feels weak and maybe in agony.

"The itsy-bitsy spider
Climbed up the water spout
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out"

Sounds some sort of creepy as fuck song that a villain who generates pulses that have a certain sound wavelength would make

It's a freaking superhero movie, you guys are thinking about this way too much. It makes me think that some of you can't enjoy anything and just constantly nitpick every little detail. I'm so glad stuff like this doesn't affect me.

I actually didn't recognize that as the spider song, but I loved that scene.

I actually really liked the soundtrack here. But funnily enough, I actually think Horner had the music of Spidey down.

Electro's theme was great, it worked well with him, it hyped him up a lot, I just wished they wrote him well to live up to it.

Nah, the OST is the absolute least of this movies problems. Also I just don't hear the itsy bitsy spider in that clip, watched it 5 times, don't hear it, doesn't bother me.

I'll just copy paste last pages replies to your copy pasted post from last page

Am I the only one who liked Dan Dehann as Harry Osbourn more?

Also I feel his actions were because of sickness and the serum.
You could see his hesitation in the final scene before he drops Gwen

Am I the only one who want's a Harry Redemption in ASM3?

I felt he and peter didn't have enough screen time either, and after seeing the movie, it seems they cut out the subplot, with Harry telling peter about Oscorp having him under surveillance.

Wonder how big the directors cut will be?

I heard they cut a lot.

Also should the Symbiote suit make it in Sinister Six movie So Peter can overcom all of them.

Granted Venom movie comes out to establish this, or unless the events in Sinister Six leads to Venom movie.

Will CURT Conner return, since he seemed like he was on Peter's side at the end of ASM 1?
